Job Responsibilities:
● Letters of credit department:
1- Issue all kind of L/Cs sight, differed , acceptance ,standby . ,revolving, red clause
2- Solve all customers problems related to issuing L/C or payments made under L/C
3- Examination of shipping documents presented under L/C and determine if it is a complying
presentation to L/C terms and conditions,UCP600 and ISBP
4- Make all kinds of reports related to L/Cs and in the same time study all customers credit facilities
5-make all kinds of payments under L/Cs (sight, differed , acceptance ,standby . ,revolving, red clause)
by direct transfer by using massages (Mt202,Mt740,Mt732,Mt756,Mt799,Mt103) or refused a discrepant
document presented by using mt734
6- make training to my client in L/c dept.
7-Ensure the work ability of Letters of Credit issued by correspondent banks, and advising these to
customers in a timely manner (including Transferable L/Cs) .
8- Request any clarifications from the Issuing banks if the credits authorize our bank to add our
confirmation for any arrangements/modifications required enabling to add confirmation to the credit.
9- Examination of export shipping documents and deciding whether they comply to/with L.C terms,
UCP600 , ISBP latest version.
10-Handle communication with Beneficiaries to correct the discrepant documents (if any ) within the
allowed period according with UCP latest version or send it as presented. Check and authorize for all
transaction related to all import and export letter of credit in trade finance central department since
October 2015 till now
11-Assure from validating all facilities and approvals in order to issue the letter of credits including the
credit facilities of customer’s.
12-Examination of Export shipping documents and deciding whether they comply to/with L.C terms,
UCP , ISBP latest version and advise our applicant to make decision amend. Docs. Or send it .
13-Endorsement of original transport documents and issuance of Marine L.G under Import letters as per
our bank’s policies and as per customer’s instructions .
14-Settlement of payments or accepting or rejecting documents presented under import letters of credit
shipping documents as per letter of credit terms and condition and presetting bank’s schedule instructions
15- Handle communication with clients, develop sustainable long-term relationships with them, act as a
point of reference and make technical decisions relating to issues for International Trade.
