SUBJECT: Presentation of Proposed FY 2022-2023 Operating Budget and Scheduling a Public
Budget Hearing

Staff worked closely with the City Council to develop the FY 2022-23 Strategic Action Plan. The
Strategic Action Plan forms a baseline for the development of the operating budget for the next
fiscal year.
As part of the annual budget process, a budget work session was held on July 13, 2022 in which
the General Fund, Utility Fund and other governmental funds to include Comprehensive Plan,
Street Maintenance, Capital Replacement, and Capital Projects were presented for review. A
PowerPoint presentation summarizing the proposed budget is being presented to City Council and
the public at the City Council Meeting on Monday, August 8, 2022. The proposed budget
document and the presentation will be available for viewing at the City’s website on Tuesday,
August 9, 2022. A Public Hearing will be held on August 22, 2022 for the proposed budget.
