fish.
2) The bighead carp has a large, scaleless head,
a large mouth and eyes.
3) It is a large fish, typically it’s length is 60cm.
4) Bighead carp are native to the large rivers.
5) It is one of the most intensively exploited
fishes in aquaculture.

•Similar to the closely-related silver
carpHypophthalmichthysmolitrix, the
bighead carp is a filter feeder that
prefers larger river habitats. In the
united states bighead carp are
frequently stocked into catfish
culture ponds.
