2) At the beginningof the classwhenIfirsttookthe learningpreferencessurveymyscoreswere
reflective:5,sensory:3,verbal:5, and sequential:3. At the endof the classmy thoughtsonmy learning
preferenceshave remainedrelativelythe same. Istill don’thave astrong preference forone style over
another, andI don’thave too much difficultyinareasof learningthatare not my preferredstyle. Iknow
I am still a reflective learnerbecauseI like togoat myown pace and take time onmy ownto thinkabout
newinformationbefore talkingaboutit. Inall of myclassesI benefitfromverbal stimulation, byhaving
teachersexplainingorallytome directions.
3) Aftertakingthiscourse, we learnedagreat deal aboutlearningpreferencesandhow
differentstylesof learningaffectshowyoutake inand understandinformation. We now are more
aware of all the differentstylesof learningandthe thingswe cando to become a betterlearnerina
differentstyle if ourownpreference isnotanoption. For example, inaclassroomsettingtosimplyask
the teacherif he or she can provide avisual while explainingsomethingif we are visual learnerstohelp
us understandthe material.

4) I chose learningwarrior at the beginningof the classbecause Iwantedtolearnmore about
fewertechnologies. Ihadjustgottenan iPhone atthe time and washopingthat I wouldgetinsightful
informationaboutall of itscapabilities. Idefinitelybroadenedmyknowledgeof mobiletechnologies
such as iPadsandtablets. I learnedhowthese technologiesare beingintegratedintothe classroomand
all of theircapabilitiesthatcanbe usedtowardslearning. I neverchangedmypathwaybecause Iwas
contentwiththe one I chose. I alsochose the learningwarriorbecause Ialsowantedtolearnmore
aboutfewertechnologiesratherthanabroad understandingof manytechnologies. Ifeel like Ilearned
manyuseful tipsabouthowto use an iPadas a tool otherthan to playgames. I alsodid notchange my
pathwaybecause i prefertolearnmore and grasp overall knowledgeof one technology, ratherthan
knowa little bitaboutmanydifferenttechnologies.

5) The quizon mobile technologysuchiPads, andtabletsprovideduseful information onhowto
use these technologiestolearnbecause inordertoanswerthe questions,we hadtoread the power
pointand additional materialsthatprovidedhelpful information. The powerpointwashelpfulingiving
an overviewof eachof the technologiesandtheirbasicfunctions, whereasthe supplemental material
includingarticlesandstudiesprovidedexamplesof how these technologiesare usedandstatisticsabout
the. We gota broaderunderstandinganddeeperunderstandingbytakingthe quizandanswering
specificquestions.
6) The technologyquestoniPadsandtabletshelpedme explorelearningbecausetheyhave similar
2. apps tothe iPhone. There are awide range of appsavailable forlearningthatI researchedandutilized
throughoutthissemesterthatprovidedoptionsfordifferentstylesof learning. Obviouslyalotof these
apps have a visual componentwithdiagramsandpictures. But some of them alsohave an auditory
component, where ituseseithersoundeffectsorsimplyreadsthe textonthe screen. Thisishelpful for
studyingwhile drivingorevenplayingitinmyheadphonesonpublictransportationbecauseIget
motionsicknesswhile Ireadina movingvehicle. The technologyquestoniPadshelpedme towork
betterwithmylearningpreference because Iwasable tofindgraphsand picture representationsof
thingsthat I wasactuallystudyinginotherclasses.
(Adrianne Manhart-Hickey)
7) The mobile technologythatinterestedus the mostas a learningtool wasiPodsbecause we
actuallyhave iPodsandwere interestedinhow itfunctionsasa learningtool. Thiswasalsothe
technologythatsurprised usthe most, because like Isaidwe bothhave iPods andneverthoughtabout
usingitas a mobile tool. Similarly, becauseof the iPodssize itdoesn’tseemaspractical as maybe an
iPadwhichislargerand has a keyboard. The iPodisconvenienttotake anywhere, howeverthe size is
not the mostideal as a device to learnon. We wouldlike toexplore iPhonefurtherasa tool for learning
because we alsobothhave iPhone’swhichare onusat all timesanditwouldbe convenientforon-the-
go purposes.
We bothagreedthat the iPodsworkedforourlearning preferencespartlybecausewe bothdo
not have iPadsasan optiontouse. The iPodhasthe capabilitytoprovide manyrecoursesforlearning
dependingonyourindividuallearningstyle. Forexample, beingapple todownloadaflashcardappwas
great foron the go memorizing. Thisparticularappalsohadan audiooptionto saythe wordsaloud
whichwasgreat for verbal learnersaswell.
8) Thisclass provided manyrecoursesforustoutilize afterthisclass. Beingable touse ouriPads
and iPhoneswhile be helpful toaccessuseful informationata jobor outside of school. Now that we
have a greaterunderstandingof ourlearningpreferences we canaccommodate thatinthe worksetting,
as well aschoose appsthat are appropriate forour styles. There are a range of sitesthatoffer
informationonaninfinite amountof topicsthatcan be accessedon-the-gowithaniPodoriPhone.
There are multiple mobile technologiesthatcanbe usedfornon-learningpurposes,suchas
games, andsocial networkingsites. We will continuetouse FacebookandTwitteronour phones
because theyserve manypurposessuchasconnectingwithfriends. However,havingtheseappsonour
phonescanbe verydistractingfromschool work, therefore we will trytouse themless, ratherthan
avoidthemcompletely.
