Points to Ponder when looking for an Outsourcing partner
With the changing face of the cosmopolitan corporate culture Outsourcing has become the need of the
hour. Be it Manpower outsourcing or HR Outsourcing the companies are on the lookout for such
agencies that would not only help them with their requirements but also partner in their growth in all
aspects. The companies are nowadays taking numerous steps for cost cutting and targeting cost
effective skilled labor .These companies want to free themselves from the hassle of building up an
infrastructure, investing time and money on hiring labor and then setting up a team to manage them
and their expenses. In such a scenario Outsourcing becomes the most feasible option. There are
companies coming up that outsource the entire gamut of manpower as well as processes. Outsourcing
the services and manpower leaves room to focus on various other crucial matters.
When a company opts for outsourcing services it gives an access to the outsourcing company for all
kinds of internal information and company culture. So there are numerous aspects that need to be kept
in mind while selecting an outsourcing firm. Some of which are as stated below.
Understanding the company culture
Before diving into the pool of potential outsourcing companies the company in need should have a clear
understanding of its internal work structure, its mission and goals, its road map and the company’s
adaptability to adjust to the external workforce handling its manpower services. Self analysis helps the
company analyze the feasibility of its association with the outsourcing company and its potential
growth while working towards a common goal.
Effective and Uninterrupted Communication
For the free flow of manpower transition and uninterrupted operational workflow, it is very important
to have an effective communication strategy. In order to have clarity on the clear picture of the
outsourcing requirements the company in need should give a clear download of its exact requirements
to the outsourcing firm. Effective communication plays a very important role here. Unless effectively
communicated both the parties will have loopholes in the exact requirements and matching delivery
models which would lead to waste of time, money and manpower resources.
Evaluating the potential partner
The company needs to understand and analyze the potential partner on various parameters. A couple of
which are as stated below.
 Do they understand the exact needs of the requirement?
 Are they capable enough to understand and analyze the next steps?
 Will they be able to effectively communicate both internal and external information as and
when required?
 What has been their track record on the outsourcing front?
 What has been their track record on the support and communication on critical projects with
other clients?

The outsourcing firm should be 100% compliance oriented. This is the basic and the most important
aspect of any outsourcing firm. Any company outsourcing its projects or manpower requirements hands
over its core and vital strength i.e its manpower and its processes to the outsourcing firm. In this case it
becomes very important to check whether the outsourcing firm itself is compliance oriented or not.

Any company having outsourcing requirements generally looks for an outsourcing firm that is capable of
catering to its requirements beyond geographical boundaries. So, it becomes important for an
outsourcing firm to have its presence across locations. It broadens the feasibility of its operational
support that is required from the clients end.

For the hassle free execution of a process it is very important that even the minute details of the process
should be recognized and taken care of. It is only possible when the team behind it is well aware and
informed about the process and the formalities involved. Any disparity in the domain knowledge or any
kind of communication gap can lead to great disasters and loss of goodwill in the market.
Prompt and responsive Grievance Handling and Feedback System
Execution of any process can become better only when a proper feedback system follows it and has an
eye for minute details. For the customers to be happy the outsourcing company should have their
grievance handling tools in place and be prompt in handling the issues. A happy customer is a retained
customer that could add to the goodwill of the company by word of mouth. So, all possible measures
should be taken to keep the grievance handling and feedback system in place and working in full mode.
Also, an active attempt should be made to resolve the issues and respond on the feedback.
