Our Business
In 2009, Asbestos Consultants to the Environment (Ace) and PSI 2000 formally combined their
distinct individual capabilities to provide clients with a comprehensive and overarching asbestos
management and consultancy service. Ace and PSI complement each other’s services and have done
for several years. Our long-standing successful partnership and existing shared client base makes a
merger the optimal way forward towards growth in this marketplace.
Originally founded in 1984, we are one of the few remaining independent consulting firms
providing a diverse range of consulting services which includes building surveys, sampling, testing,
analysis, air monitoring, asbestos removal project management, asbestos consultancy, and
software management. AcePSI’s core service encompasses health and safety compliance solutions,
although these have typically focused in the asbestos field. We also offer an extensive menu of
asbestos technical, management and awareness training catered to anyone and everyone involved
in health and safety, across a range of industries and sectors.
AcePSI aims to develop on its already impressive portfolio of services to allow it to offer a
comprehensive one-stop shop for health and safety compliance to its customers. Our extensive
range of accreditations, strong understanding of our client needs and our qualified staff help to
ensure we deliver bespoke solutions on a national scale.
Clients & Industries
AcePSI's growth through the years has been built on a variety of contracts and
disciplines in contrasting and ever changing situations. AcePSI has
experienced and adapted to the development of the prevailing HSE
regulations over recent years. It is our company policy to combine both the
experience of previous contracts with the recruitment of new staff, each of
whom carries his or her own wealth of experience. However this does not
prevent us from employing “new to the industry” personnel who in themselves often bring a new
level of understanding to such subjects as IT and communication. Both current and past contracts
have involved the public and private sectors, each with their own primary objectives. However, all
clients have been governed by the need to comply with current legislation and their duty of care. As
a result our company has been employed to apply its experience and expertise in the field of
asbestos identification and management. AcePSI provides a customised solution to selected
markets which include the Utilities, Transport and Local and Central Government sectors.
Accreditations above are held by Asbestos Consultants to the Environment Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of AcePSI Group. The ISO 14001 accreditation is held by AcePSI Group.

The quality of our work is of prime importance to us, as ongoing compliance with the
requirements of our accreditation to ISO 17020 (for asbestos surveying/inspection
work) and ISO 17025 (for fibre sampling/counting and bulk sampling/analysis)
ensures that we deliver the best possible service to our clients at all times. At AcePSI,
we do not regard quality as an “add-on” but instead integrate it deep into everything
we do. Regular and rigorous internal compliance and performance audits extend into all areas of our
business, not only those for which we hold UKAS accreditation. Our training division is a Category 1
member of the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) and as such is also subject to
stringent external audit on a regular basis.
