2. Radio Presenter
A Radio Presenter is the job of hosting a radio
show. A Radio Presenters job is different
depending on what type of show they are doing.
They might have to make their show live or
record it and put it on, or have to be scripted or
unscripted. They may have to listen to what
their audience say and have to interact with
them. They are told what to do by the people
who produce the show, and are also expected to
listen to their feedback.
3. Radio Producer
Radio Producers are in charge of producing shows and
content for radio stations. That produce both live and
recoreded shows. They are largely responsible for
creating the content that people listen to. The Radio
Producer is also largely involved in the business side of
the radio industry, checking budget, ensuring that it is
used efficiently and It is their job to listen to and respond
to complaints. They usually work in offices and the
recording studio, but they may have to do their job in
other environments. They may have to work when ever
they are called on, so that includes nightshifts, holidays
etc.
4. Radio Broadcast Journalist
Radio Broadcast Journalist have to collect,
research and present news to their audience.
They present news bulletins, interviews etc. The
job may be similar at times to that of a reporter,
but are much more differentiated at places such
as the BBC. Broadcast Journalists have to edit all
of their work and make sure that their work fills
in the entire duration of the radio show.
5. How to apply for a radio job
You may be able to get into the radio industry
for some jobs straight after you leave school.
You may be able to get an apprenticeship and in
to the radio industry. You may be able to get into
the radio industry by getting into a profession
that requires you to go onto higher education,
like college and university.
