2. Horror Conventions
• Through my research work into Susan Hayward’s
Sub-Genre Theory and the horror conventions, I
tried to apply my findings to my ancillary work. I
noticed that the website theme that I had chosen
had a white banner going down the middle. This
made it not as horrific as I had planned due to the
lack of dark colour.
• To make the website more horrific, I decided to
take certain elements such as text, that had a
white background, and used paint to give them a
dark background.
