The task is to define what a poster is and how different it is to an
advert.
A poster is a way of advertising a product to the audience giving them
a general idea on what they can expect the product to be like when its
released, this is usually done through images of the product.
A poster has one still collages of things that would be seen in a film
and a advert usually consists of clips from the film.
By finding these conventions it will give us a good description of
conventions that need to be used when it comes to making my own
production poster, this will help me as it will show what needs to be
added in order for the audience to be entertained by my own poster.

Overall I believe that the conventions that are
seen in the majority of posters in order for it to
be successful is a title so that members of the
audience know the name of the film, a small
amount of advertisement in order for the
audience to be able to find out more
information and a main image that sets the
scene
