2. Here is a
red head in
use with a
yellow
coloured
gel in front
of it. It is
illuminating
the poker
table that
we used in
the shoot.
Here are the spot lights and ceiling mounted
lights, with a variety of different colours we used
some of them to provide basic set illumination.
Here are two other lights, we ended up only using
the red one in conjunction with a red gelled lily put
to provide a coloured tint to a few scenes.
We made sure
to wrap the
wires of the
lights
underneath
the tripods so
that if
someone
tripped on the
wire the light
would slide
across the floor
smoothly
rather than fall
over and
smash.
3. We
brought
food and
water for
the shoot
to feed our
actor and
ourselves.
Here is the fog/smoke machine that we used on set, it
managed to fill up a quarter of the drama studio in a
matter of seconds, however the smoke didn’t last long.
Balloons were a big part of the concept of the video
and we bought over 90 of them to fill up the studio.
We originally
planned to use a
projector to
project moving
clouds on to our
lead singer, which
worked ok but
because we
didn’t have a
white background
to project on to
the effect was not
as good as we
would have liked
so we ended up
not using the
footage.
4. Our actresses were wearing all black, both in
very similar costumes like this (Without the
Hoodie) Our actor was wearing a grey
cardigan and jeans, but we
also had him topless in one
scene, wearing a white top
and a black vest in another.
5. We shot most of our footage using a Nikkon
D3100, that films in 1080p HD.
However on our first shoot we
only had this Panasonic camera
to hand, which isn’t as good
quality, however for the shots we
used it for they don’t require such
good quality due to them being
mainly high contrast black and
white, with little detail.
