(During 1 hour specials, teachers and TAs will push into other classes. Please note,
Wednesdays will be devoted to planning time)
• Students that are far below will have Intervention until they move up levels.
• 20 minutes-Basic Math Facts
• 40 minutes-Excel Math (Teacher will check each individual student work for
proficiency
• 1 hour-Core Math and Touch Math
SCHOOL DAY PLAN
• 1 Hour-Science, M, W, F Pre-K-4th 5th Grade Science All Week
(5th Grade will have Social Studies infused in the Reading)
• 30 minute Closing-Drop Everything and Read/AR Testing1st-
5th
• ELL strategies will be used throughout the day.
EXTENDED DAY TUTORIALS
• All bubble students and students below proficiency will stay for tutorials.
• Saxon Phonics/High Frequency Words/Zoophonics Homework Club K-2nd
(M, Thursday)
• Guided Reading 3rd-5th/Homework Club(M, Thursday)
• Math Weekly TEK Review (Tuesday Wednesday)
• Saturday School 9-1:
• Rotations: K-3rd: Reading and Mathematics
• 4th: Reading, Math, Writing
• 5th: Reading, Math, Science
SATURDAY SCHOOL
• 9:oo-1:00
• All 3rd-5th grade students far below grade level must attend.
• K-2nd grade attendance optional but highly recommended.
• All SPED students, attendance highly recommended.
• All beginner and intermediate ESL students, attendance highly
recommended.

• 9:00-9:15-Breakfast
• 9:15-9:30-Drop Everything and Read
• 9:30-9:50-Daily warm up ELA
• 9:50-10:00-Break
• 10:00-10:30-Phonics Instruction/High Frequency Words
• 10:30-11:30-Guided Reading
• 11:30-12:00-Writing
• 12:00-12:40-Math Facts
• 12:40-1:00 Lunch
DISCIPLINE PLAN
• ALL Campus personnel will hold students accountable.
• ALL Campus personnel will be responsible for issuing out
behavior bucks to reinforce good behavior.
• Students will be able to purchase items through the school
store.
• ALL Campus personnel will praise students for good behavior.
• Administrators will check in on each class daily. Administrators
will walk around classrooms ensuring that students are okay
and well tended too.
DISCIPLINE PLAN
• Students will have assemblies every reporting period. Students
will receive awards.
• Students will have a dance every reporting period if they
conduct themselves to the highest standards.
• During morning breakfast, teachers will play videos that are
motivational and uplifting.
• Students will be allowed to attend field trips if good behavior is
evident.
DISCIPLINE PLAN
• Students that are in need of assistance will have an on campus
mentor. This mentor will check in at least once per week.
• Parents will be contacted regarding non-compliance.
• SRC will be available for students that are not compliant.
• Male student sessions and female student sessions will be conducted
once a month.
• Student Success Team: Student, Parent, Teacher, Administrator,
Counselor will be formed to assist.
CONFERENCES
• Students that are not making gains will have a Student Success Team
Conducted. This team will consist of:
• ALL grade level teachers
• Administrator
• Parent
• Student
• This meeting will allow student, parent, teacher, and administrator to
discuss old and new interventions, behavior, supports needed, health
issues, and follow up meeting dates.
CONFERENCES
• Initially, teachers will meet with all students-face to face by the
2nd week of school. Teachers will discuss information gathered
from the diagnostic assessments provided. Teachers will
provide parents and students with individual student education
plan to fill in the gaps from the assessment. Subs will be
provided.
• Teachers will meet with all parents and students every
reporting period.
• Students that are at risk will have conferences as needed.
PLCS
• Early release will be on Wednesdays. Teachers will devote 2
hours to looking at data from assessments (Math, Science,
Writing will assess once per week and Reading will assess every
two weeks) and lesson planning. Lesson plans will be done as
a group. Each teacher will be responsible for providing
materials/lessons for each content area. An administrator will
be in with the planning. 1 hour will be devoted to gathering
materials needed for the next week.
SAFETY
• Administrators will be visible at all times.
• T.A.s, Support Clerks, Administrators will be assigned to hall
monitoring throughout the day.
• T.A.s, Support Clerks, Teachers, Administrators, Custodians will
be assigned to dismissal and drop off activities.
• 5th Graders will serve as safety patrol.
SAFETY
• Building will have key card entry.
• Gates will have key card entry.
• Students will wear clear or mesh backpacks.
• Safety plan will be developed and practiced once per month.
• Campus will be clean and neat at all times.
LEADERSHIP TEAM
• Since both schools are struggling academically, a strong leadership team is needed. I
want to construct a team that is instructionally sound and dedicated to the work of a turn
around school.

DISCIPLINE PLAN • ALL Campus personnel will hold students accountable. • ALL Campus personnel will be responsible for issuing out behavior bucks to reinforce good behavior. • Students will be able to purchase items through the school store. • ALL Campus personnel will praise students for good behavior. • Administrators will check in on each class daily. Administrators will walk around classrooms ensuring that students are okay and well tended too.
  • 17. DISCIPLINE PLAN • Students will have assemblies every reporting period. Students will receive awards. • Students will have a dance every reporting period if they conduct themselves to the highest standards. • During morning breakfast, teachers will play videos that are motivational and uplifting. • Students will be allowed to attend field trips if good behavior is evident.
  • 18. DISCIPLINE PLAN • Students that are in need of assistance will have an on campus mentor. This mentor will check in at least once per week. • Parents will be contacted regarding non-compliance. • SRC will be available for students that are not compliant. • Male student sessions and female student sessions will be conducted once a month. • Student Success Team: Student, Parent, Teacher, Administrator, Counselor will be formed to assist.
  • 19. CONFERENCES • Students that are not making gains will have a Student Success Team Conducted. This team will consist of: • ALL grade level teachers • Administrator • Parent • Student • This meeting will allow student, parent, teacher, and administrator to discuss old and new interventions, behavior, supports needed, health issues, and follow up meeting dates.
  • 20. CONFERENCES • Initially, teachers will meet with all students-face to face by the 2nd week of school. Teachers will discuss information gathered from the diagnostic assessments provided. Teachers will provide parents and students with individual student education plan to fill in the gaps from the assessment. Subs will be provided. • Teachers will meet with all parents and students every reporting period. • Students that are at risk will have conferences as needed.
  • 21. PLCS • Early release will be on Wednesdays. Teachers will devote 2 hours to looking at data from assessments (Math, Science, Writing will assess once per week and Reading will assess every two weeks) and lesson planning. Lesson plans will be done as a group. Each teacher will be responsible for providing materials/lessons for each content area. An administrator will be in with the planning. 1 hour will be devoted to gathering materials needed for the next week.

SAFETY • Administrators will be visible at all times. • T.A.s, Support Clerks, Administrators will be assigned to hall monitoring throughout the day. • T.A.s, Support Clerks, Teachers, Administrators, Custodians will be assigned to dismissal and drop off activities. • 5th Graders will serve as safety patrol.
  • 23. SAFETY • Building will have key card entry. • Gates will have key card entry. • Students will wear clear or mesh backpacks. • Safety plan will be developed and practiced once per month. • Campus will be clean and neat at all times.
