3. Enable users to choose multiple filters without page refresh.
4. Present your filters intuitively. For example : Initially, list them
in the order of their popularity. On truncation, present them in
alphabetical order for easy sifting.
6. Allow multiple selections of the same type. Usually sites let you
select only one value for filters like size because they assume that
the visitor wants to buy only one unit of the product.
8. Show the filters list only after your visitor selects the category.
Otherwise, they might be overwhelmed with an endless list of
filters which are not so easy on their eyes and minds.
9. Avoid the ‘No matching items found’ message. Show inline the
number of items in each selected filter category, so the user can
choose to select or not.
10. Use colour cues to point them to where they can take actions such
as open, view more, view less et cetera.
