- 4. WHAT IS VIOLENCE? • It’s the Intentional Use of force against a group or community • Mentally • Physically • Globally, violence takes the lives of more than 1.5 million people annually • Violence often has lifelong consequences for victims

TYPES OF VIOLENCE Domestic violence / Individual motivated violence • Bride burning, Honor killing, Sati Interpersonal Violence • Family dispute, family arguments, communal hatreds Child abuse violence • Beating/hitting/kicking/sexual violence Social violence • By social groups, politics/temple festivals Religious violence, domestic violence, caste violence, violence against women, violence against minorities, etc.
- 6. VISUAL VIOLENCE • All of the above mentioned violence types are extreme in itself but there is one more type of violence we are talking about. • The increasing amount of violence shown regularly in films has been a cause of concern. • Makers makes violence appears entertaining and exciting.

IS IT REALLY BAD AS WE THINK? • National Institute of Mental Health reported that exposure to violence at an early age leads to desensitization. • Violent films have visible influence on children and teenagers especially. • Violent TV shows increase likelihood of violent behavior later in life. • Make someone less likely to feel shock or distress at scenes of cruelty or suffering by overexposure to such violent things.
- 8. WHY IT IS BAD? • The individuals who appreciate such films stop realizing the real consequences. • People will reflect what they learn. • They lose their sense of reality and don’t have any sympathy for the victims. • They can easily lose their patience and be violent

- 12. REASONS BEHIND • Multiple Factors lead to the violence Peoples likes to see them. Violence do the more business. Too popular among different age groups. Sells the most.
- 13. POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS • Make some age restriction on the programs. • Only restriction are not enough. • Supervision of Parents/ guardian needed. • Activate the corresponding regulating bodies • Censorship board.
