The two sides of city life
Setting in a street on a sunny afternoon.
Michael: (shouts) Taxi!
Taxi: (Pulls over) where would you like
to go today boss?
Michael: Noting hill (then enters the
taxi)
Taxi: Alright boss that will be £20
Michael: No problem boss (hands the taxi
driver £20s)
The taxi driver and Michael are in
thetaxir driving to nothing hill suddenly
they come across a poor person begging
for money in the street, Michael feels
sad for this poor lady so he entered out
of the car wowards the poor person..
Michael: (as he enters out of the car)
city life sucks, how you feeling?
Sathma: No response
Michael: Are you O.K.
Sathma: Still again no response
Michael: Here have some money ( takes £20
and hands it to the poor person.)
Sathma: Thank You (Says it steady and
slow)
Michael: No worries you deserve it (and
walks off feeling good in himself.)
Sathma on her own struggling for survival
on the street.
Sathma: I got no family and no friends
it’s not fair (steady and shakily said)
Sathma comes across teenagers like
herself playing football and wants to
join in.
Sathma: (Watches from gate eagerly) I
want to play to.
Sathma wondering around still desperately
looking for money. Looking puzzled and
doesn’t knows what she’s doing but then
walks to a rich lady on the phone
Sathma: (Can you give me money)
Miss: (On the phone to another person,
then looks at the poor person with
disgust.) Ewe! Get away from me!
Sathma: Please, you pretty lady (still
begging in desperate need of help)
Miss: (Walks of in a posh manor wanting
to get away from the poor person as quick
as possible)
Film ends with screen shot of the poor
person looking very sad and upset.
Well that’s the two sides of city life
for you.
