2. Ideas Bank
An online portfolio of downloadable
design and build activities designed
to motivate and engage all members
in the exciting world of STEM. Select
and choose age and complexity rated
engineering based problems and
build your solution.
Activities
· Making Knexions
An exciting and fun hands on design and build activity for
9 – 14 year olds incorporating scientific and mathematical
principles to solve an engineering challenge. Supported by
a full educator pack and short term loan of equipment.
· STEM Challenge Events
Where we come to you… STEM Challenge Events are
opportunities for your students to participate in
challenging engineering based activities led by our
specially trained and experienced field workers.
Activities are designed to be interactive, cross
curricular and to meet the needs of your school.
Networking
Opportunities for group leaders
and individual students to
share ideas and best practice
through our web based, secure
communication system. The
messaging system is fully
embedded within our secure
members only profile pages
which enables the members
to communicate as much or as
little as is beneficial.
Personal Profile
Every group membership and
individual student membership
has an online profile which they
can populate with news, items of
interest, progress on project work
etc. The profile has public and
private settings enabling members
to control how much they share with
the membership network. Members
can opt to post newsworthy items to
the Young Engineers News Feeds to
generate publicity for your activities.
Membership
New members will join us on the Launch Pad, a specialist start-up
programme that enables all members no matter their experience to
make the most of their membership. Launch Pad provides a full welcome
pack with starter activity kits, an exclusive programme of activities,
membership handbook, careers advice and individual incentives.
Existing members will continue to enjoy all the benefits of our
membership network and will be assured of fresh and exciting challenges
as our ideas bank, competitions and activities get regularly updated.
Existing members will also benefit from exclusive individual incentives.
