Date of Birth: 18/06/1973
Educational Qualifications: M. Sc. Ph.D.
Topics of interest: Materials Chemistry (Embedded Systems, Fuels, Polymer, Wood, Water).
Brief of Work Experience: After post-graduation in Chemistry (1996), I accomplished doctorate in Polymer
Technology (2003). During Ph. D., guidance to one of the B. Tech. (Plastics Technology) groups resulted in an
international publication. Sundry work during Ph.D. for development of polymeric anti-flocculating agents for
prevention of scale and sludge formation in boiler feed water also has resulted in a publication then.
Working as research associate, at Nano Materials Laboratory of C-MET, got exposure to research work in different
fields of Material Chemistry like Organometalic Chemistry, Inorganic Polymer Chemistry. For preparation of nano
particles of Selenium, Cadmium preliminary work using Copper was followed. I lead a group of students aspiring
M.Sc.in Chemistry for their academic project work. Another group of students was guided to work for nano particle
synthesis of metals. The teamwork with the group comprised of each of B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. students resulted in
technology for solar cell related process. An Indian patent is applied for the same.
Current Research Projects: https://aissmsioit.org/tesla-club/
1. IoT Based Power Theft Control
2. Green Disposal of Sanitary Pads
3. Automated Gates for Controlled Water Release in Fields
4. Polymer Conjugated Lipoic acid Compactin Lactone and Mevinolin Lactone
5. Activated Carbon from agricultural waste for water treatment
6. Natural Polymers for agricultural water treatment
7. Metal Nano Particles for agricultural applications
8. Development of Smart Gates for siphon water applications in the field
I am teaching Engineering Chemistry to the first year engineering students. Major topics covered under Pune
University Syllabus are, Solid Materials (Material Science), Polymers, Environmental Chemistry, Electrochemistry
(Corrosion & Control), Fuels & Lubricants, and Analytical Chemistry., guided M.Sc. (Polymer Chemistry), for his
research project.
