Functions/Responsibilities:
BSS integration for GSM Systems (900/1800 Band) for GLOBE Telecoms Expansion Project (Phase 16 and 17)
and then for SMART Modernization Project (starting Phase 1 to present)
1. Start-up implementation, hardware and software verification, testing and troubleshooting of
AXE10 BSCs (in BYB 810 hardware platform such as High-Density BSCs and EVO 8100) and
integration towards customer’s GSM Network including commissioning,
2. Implementation of hardware expansion (RP Bus, Transcoders, PGW, AGW, TRH, CSMs, etc.) and
subsequent integration to live traffic in customer’s network,
3. Implementation, Activation, Testing and Customer Acceptance of Optional BSC Features (VAMOS
for Digicell Papua New Guinea, Abis Over IP Migration for Indosat Indonesia, etc)
4. Major Software Upgrades for BSCs and BTS (R12 to 08B).
5. Major Hardware Upgrades for BSCs (High-Density to All-IP Adaptations),

6. Data Transcript creation based on CDDs, integration, testing and troubleshooting of RBS
2000/6000 towards GSM network,
7. Migration of individual or clustered BTS (reparenting),
8. Rehoming/Reparenting of BSCs as per customer’s network plan,
9. Undertake any FNI (first node implementation) of verified new element or functionality, whilst
under the guidance of the appropriate supporting organization,
10. If requested, assist/support during contract/commercial negotiations, in the technical scoping of
the Integration service delivery.
11. Involvement in Interoperability/Verification activities for competence build-up with or at GSDC /
PDU.
12. Has also done knowledge transfer sessions to customers (for SMART, 2013), as requested.

Position: Team Leader - Network Integration / Senior Integration Engineer
Dept/Division: Network Rollout/Services
Line Functions:
1. Assist the Line Manager (LM) in generating strategies and objectives (rollout plans,
dimensioning, resource planning, competence development, attend meetings on Integration
issues etc) for the Section
2. Ensure that the group is within the competence level required by looking into future trainings
available that can be attended within budget, based on future Project, New products and
market requirements
3. Provide Application Programs, Instruments, Reference Documentation and Equipment required
for NIs.
4. Track/create database for Network Integrators, their current assignments, assignment
durations, feedback on performance, KPIs (quality, efficiency, and productivity).
5. Resolution of Technical issues (meetings with Project Managers/NIs, Knowledge Sharing, etc.)
6. Interpretation of network rollout/integration plans into detailed level activity schedule for on-
site activities.
7. Plan, Provide and Allocate Network Integrator/s to Projects based on forecasts, availability and
competence required
8. With the LM, coordinate with Project Office (PO) on their future requirements/forecasts
9. Provide regular Section Reports and work with the LM in generating RAN reports/data required
by NRO (e.g. manpower projections, utilization, competence management requirements)
10. Assist the ARP in managing needs (resource planning) of project based NIs.
