I have several life experiences which will influence my academic works and goals at Colorado Christian University. First, I will describe my
experience in Boy Scouts and how it has shaped my life, secondly; my serving others in the community; serving others one on one, and lastly, my
long term goal. In my youth I was active in the Boy Scouts of America and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. The hard work paid off by living by

Accomplishment of the mission, and the welfare of my Soldiers. These are the two basic responsibilities of a noncommissioned officer, and serve as
the basis for my leader's philosophy. At the center of these responsibilities is the Soldier, it is our responsibility as leaders to ensure their welfare and

My last assignment I was a Foundry equipment instructor at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin. Almost without exception, the units that I
would see before rotation have had next to zero training on their equipment. The common answer, when asked why they have not trained, was that they
were too busy with details, the motor pool, 350–1 training, or that the command didn't put emphasis on it. As leaders, we must tailor our training to be
relevant to the mission; this applies to everything from PRT to battle drills. Create a training schedule that supports the METL, too often we become

How To Successful Accomplishments
Out of any accomplishment or achievement I've received, the most fulfilling and rewarding moment in my life was steering a fellow teammate with
failing grades who was on the verge of not passing her sophomore year away from the path of failure and onto the path of success. A month before
the semester ended she was brought into my life barely hanging onto the falling grades she had. We had a month to get her through an LLC class, get
her grades up in the other 6 classes she was taking, and turn her life around. With many hours put in at lunch, before school, during my own classes,

Most Meaningful Accomplishment
My most meaningful accomplishment has been beginning to take care of myself holistically. As someone who is an introvert, I grew up spending a
lot of time by myself. I was painfully shy when I was a child and making friends was not easy. As I grew older however, I began to feel the
consequences of not having established meaningful relationships with my peers. Junior high was especially difficult because of the very exclusionary
social environment. Cliques were all the rage and if you didn't belong in one, people weren't very receptive towards you. This affected my self–esteem

Throughout my career when I've been asked about the biggest accomplishments I'll often say that I wished I'd acted on the important things faster.
The importance of taking action on the things that are most important is an element I wish I'd grasped hold of earlier in my career. Just think, what

The digital world means that you'll often feel that you're not directly connected to your market/clients. It can give the illusion of detachment and lead
to longer delays. But beware! The world keeps spinning, while you delay, others are taking action and filling the gaps in the market. They're getting a
head start on the projects you're considering right now!
An example is a small market I considered a business around. I told a friend about it and we both knocked a few ideas around. I did in fact build a
small free website, and did a little market test using the name. I didn't follow through (read: I didn't take massive action and get results!) and years
later I see the fellow I first conversed with about the project is now successfully running a different business (but with the same/similar name) that's
very similar to that which I designed.
Don't delay, get your ideas straight, and get them on paper. Make some solid action steps toward achieving some results. A small market test is often
the best way to go. Then DO them. This is the key. You absolutely must take action for you to be able to judge whether or not you'll get anywhere in
the market.
This is especially true in a sales/marketing situation. You've got to ask the tough questions if you're going to get results. Take your time, delay, and

"The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of
ourselves to the task at hand". This inspiring quote said by legendary football coach, Vince Lombardi, describes the characteristics in order to be
successful. Like football, to be a successful Honors student at Hillsborough High School, students must possess the will to succeed above normal
expectations. This drive to succeed, inspires diligent, dedicated, driven Honors students. I, like many other successful Honors students, am
hardworking, determined, and intelligent.
Determination endures an important necessity in success: without the drive to win, nothing will be accomplished. I am extremely determined to win,

I was born in Medford, Oregon, on 20 August 1978. The first few years of my life were spent with my grandparents and my mother. When I was
five, my mother travled to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend Business School. For the next seven years I lived off and on with her, traveling between
Oregon and Utah. At the age of 12 I traveled to Sterling, Virginia to live with my Aunt Shannon and Uncle Kent. Kent was a very focused man who
