2. What is Mammoplasty?

Mammoplasty is a surgical procedure to alter the size of breasts by the
removal of fat, skin, glandular tissue or breast implants.

To remove tissue and skin from the breast, the surgeon first makes one or
more cuts in the breast.
After the excess tissue and skin have been removed, the skin is closed
with stitches.
It is done usually using general anesthesia.
The surgery usually takes 3 to 5 hours.
6. Risks & Recovery Of Breast Reduction
Risks:• Scars
• Unevenly positioned nipples, or breasts that are not the same size or
shape
• Inability to breast-feed after surgery
• Excessive bleeding during surgery
Recovery:• Patient will take one week to resume their normal lives.
