2.  Physical as Hippocrates and Galen later were the first practitioners of
physical therapy, doing massage, manual therapy techniques and
hydrotherapy to treat people in 460 BC.12 13 The earliest actual
document of origins of physical therapy as the date of professional

 The modern physical therapy was established toward the end of the
19th century due to events that had an effect on a global scale, which
called for rapid progress in physical therapy. Soon followed by the
American Orthopedic surgeons began to treat children with disabilities
and began to employ women for training in physical education, and
therapeutic exercise. These treatments were applied and was promoted
beyond during the outbreak of polio in 1916.
 During the First World War women were recruited to work and restore
physical function to wounded soldiers, and the field of physical therapy
was institutionalized. The first school of physical therapy was
established in Army Hospital Walter Reed in Washington, D.C

3.  An important character was Pehr Henrik Ling that due to a paralysis in his arm,
made contact with the fencing, using it as a therapy. After three years, he
completely recovered the ability of movement, and this made him to assess the
usefulness and the effects of physical exercises. The exercises were classified into
three blocks: Introduction: exercises in order.
 -The fundamental exercises: arms, legs and trunk.
 -The fundamental exercises B: jumps, trepans and skills

5.  physiotherapists work in clinics and hospitals, special education schools ,nursing
home and health centers , research centers, both in primary and specialized care
with a great capacity and professional independence at the same time that
constitute an essential element in the multidisciplinary teams in health.

or traffic , sports clubs, special education schools ,spas and spa ,associations of
patients, gymnasiums and centers sport ,home care

6.  Sports Physiotherapy:Physical therapy of sport or sports physical therapy is one
that treats any Athlete or Athlete who suffers any injury or trauma, not necessarily
during the physical practice
 Respiratory physiotherapy: also known as Pulmonary Physical Therapy or as a
Respiratory Therapy, is a specialty of physical therapy that is responsible for the
treatment, prevention and stabilization of different diseases of the respiratory
system or anyone who interferes with its proper functioning, in order to maintain or
improve respiratory function.
 the orthopedic physiotherapy and orthopedic is a specialized area within the
physical therapy that focuses on a precise evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of
musculoskeletal injuries. Muscle-skeletal injuries are injuries to joints, muscles,
bones, soft tissue and/or nerves.

7.  English is very important to have a broader communication between people
 With the English we could find a better opportunity to work in different countries
 We can learn different methods of therapy that are not found in our country.
 We can give to understand with more people if we need to present a research
