1. My Favourite Teacher Interview
The person I chose to do my Former teacher Interview on was my aunt, Monica Salters. My aunt has been in the field of teaching for over ten years
and is currently a sophomore Biology teacher at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina. I chose my aunt for my interview
because she's been a teacher in more ways than one. She also coaches tennis and is a loving mother and cherished family member. My aunt has
never taught me within a classroom setting but she has definitely helped me when I needed help in my science classes and has also helped with
making life decisions and so forth. The first question I asked Mrs. Salters is; What led you to become a teacher? She replied and said she did student
teaching in New York over the summer in an English learners summer intensive program. The program was for students who wanted to learn English
as a second a language. She did this after her first semester in college and this jumpāstarted her love for teaching. Mrs. Salters said before this program
she would have never wanted to be a teacher in the first place but this led experience led her there. The things she loved most about it was getting to
know all of the students from around the world. Next, I asked her what her teaching philosophy was and she said that she believes that "Learning
never stops, ever. And that everyone will always be a lifelong learner." I then Proceeded to ask what she sees as the most difficult societal influences
affecting teachers today.

2. My Favorite Teacher
My Favorite Teacher Throughout my many years of school I have been taught and led by so many great individuals. From teachers to administrators
to coaches, I have been blessed with an excellent group of people that made me the person I am today. I can list most of my teachers and coaches
from the time I was just a little boy, but I am most thankful for some of my most recent mentors. The people that have impacted the greatest in my
most recent years of high school are Patsy Lyles, Chris Price, Cliff McCown, and Jacob Schneberger. They each have impacted my life immensely
by teaching me life skills and leading me to be a better leader myself. For that, I can have nothing but appreciation for them. I was first introduced to
Mrs. Lyles in seventh grade when I participated in History Day. Mrs. Lyles voluntarily works as the leader of the History Day teams in ourschool, so
she was always helping us and making sure we were on top of things. I continue to work and enjoy my time with Mrs. Lyles in History Day. She is
a great leader and has helped me do very well in my presentation every year by giving me lots of clever and interesting ideas and giving me lots of
tips to make my presentations great. My junior year I finally had Mrs. Lyles in class and I was excited because she was my mom's favorite teacher
when she was in high school. Mrs. Lyles didn't let me down in class because she keeps high expectations of me and always pushes me to work
hard, but she also doesn't accept less than everything being on time and done right. Not She has taught me time to keep up with my work and the
importance of time management in juggling all of my school work and extracurricular activities. Through my many years with Mrs. Lyles, I am
blessed to say that I have picked up many skills that will help me throughout my life, especially my next few years in college. Mr. Price has
impressed me since the first time I met him. He is a great role model for me and many others in my school. He is a super interesting, funny guy with
phenomenal stories to tell. Although Mr. Price used to travel the world in a super popular band, that's not what makes him great. He is a super smart
man and an amazing teacher. He is great at his job of

In my school there are many teachers. Each one teaches us different subjects. Although all of them are fairly good, there is one teacher whom I
love and admire the most. Her name is Mrs. Grace Gilo. There are some teachers, who hardly ever make an impact on, or touch someone's life for
the better. Some just go through life teaching. But there are some that change a person's life, for the better. She was the kind of person that everyone
loved. She never asked too much, or expected too much. She is the most pleasing personality that I have ever come across. She is an ideal teacher.

feel lucky for having had such an unforgettable high school life and thankful for the people that were a part of it. Mrs. Gilo has always been more than

My favorite teacher's have to be my Kindergarten, first grade and 8th grade history teacher. In kindergarten, my teacher always made me feel so
welcomed into a huge school when I was just at the age of 5āyears old. She always had such fun activities planned for us to do during the school day.
In first grade my teacher was just over all amazing and was like my school mom who I could go to for anything and everything even when I got older.
She transferred schools, but I still visit her to this day when I go home. Lastly, my 8th grade history teacher just understood me, even though I hated
the subject she taught she made it easy for me to learn. I also still visit her and she always puts a smile on my face.
I tend to excel in mathematics, but only when I have a good teacher who knows how to teach the lesson correctly. After learning and knowing that I
know how to complete the problem I tend to understand and find shortcuts to making the problems easier to complete. I also can help other people
learn it. I tend to struggle with English; I do not understand grammar and commas. When in English class you will probably just catch me staring at the
work being taught, because it looks like a foreign language to me.
In high school, I did not have to study a lot, because of the way the classes and lessons were taught to us. But, when I studied I just went over my
notes I have previously taken and looked online on different study websites. Now I have to make time and put more effort into

5. Personal Essay : My Favorite Teacher
We Have all had that one teacher throughout our years of school that has been your favorite and the one that you compare all of your other teachers
too. There are certain qualities in each teacher that makes him or her differnt from another. The qualites that I look for in a good teacher is one that
has a good sense of humor and one that is understanding if you need more time on a certain project or assigment. That teacher must also be able to
communicate with you in and outside of the classroom on a personal level.
One of my favorite teachers was when I was in the seventh grade we had a older lady who was our science teacher. The thing that made me like her
so much was a great sense of humor that she showed everyday in her class. No matter what the situation was you would never seee her without a
smile on her face. She was always able to tell jokes too the class and have us all laughing but when it was time to learn she wouldnt just lecture all
class. We did alot of fun hands on work. That teacher taught me alot about science that year but she also taught me how to have fun and still be
sucessfull and still complete the task at hand. There was one day at the school when all the teachers dressed in 60's clothing for the day. This teacher
came in the with the craziest clothes on even though she had to go get her car from the repair shop after school. All day long she was having fun
with the whole day even in class with a fun project we had too do that was reltaed with the 60's
Another teacher that had one of the qualities needed to be a good techer was my gym teacher. She was on of my favorites beacuse no mater what if
you needed to go talk to her she woas there to talk. she was also my Basketball coach for three years while at the school and always was there for me if
I needed anything. She would always let me

Choosing a favorite teacher is fairly difficult when one puts into account all the types of teachers they have known, all of them are important. Teachers
are the second most important people in our lives, right after our parents. Teachers are persuasive and have the power to build a child up from an
immature student to become a responsible adult; or they can completely and utterly crush a students hopes and dreams. As an identical twin my mother
has always pulled a few strings to have my sister and me in the same classes throughout elementary school. We were absolutely inseparable.

My Favorite Teacher
I have encountered numerous teachers during my educational career, but only a few have made a memorable impact on my life. Whether it was doing

that I am grateful. We still keep in contact and I still keep him updated on all my track stuff.
When I found out Jacob Schneberger was going to be my new track coach I was quite excited. I thought since he used to run for Loftiss and was just a

This essay is dedicated to a special person who I truly admire. His name is Carter Milhous; my 7th and 8thāgrade teacher for the SLV Nature Academy
(as well as Melissa Stockton). He is an old but strong person. He is still my favorite teacher because he is artistic, strong, and friendly. He was the
type of teacher that likes to joke with his students, as well as strict enough to make us do our work. In this essay, I will be telling you about how he
has changed my life. I will never forget what he has done for me because he is the reason why I succeeded in school, why I graduated from middle
school, why I am a better person today. First of all, I need to tell you that what I thought about entering 7th grade, was to be the class clown; and for
everyone to like me. Of course, none of my teachers liked that about me, but they knew that I was a funny, caring and social student. But Milhous,
he gave me chances. He understood what it was like to be like me. I felt like I had a connection with him for many reasons. He molded me into the
human being I am now. I feel older, not just physically, but mentally also. I loved the way he taught the class. In 7th grade, we got to dissect sheep
brains, because we were learning about the human brain. In other words, be put aside things that he liked to do, and create projects for the whole class
to enjoy. I really thought that was thoughtful of him to do that, so I thought of him in a different way ever since that day. I always heard

9. Speech About My Favorite Teacher
I had heard stories for years about the high school music teacher, Mrs. Smithgall, before my freshman year. My older brother was active in the music
program and often talked at length during family dinner about the repertoire chosen for each concert; naturally, when I came to the high school, I was
excited to meet the woman who would be guiding me through four years of advanced music study. I had no idea that she would grow to be my
favorite teacher and one of my strongest advocates in high school. Mrs. Smithgall was a vibrant woman, especially in appearance. I am not entirely
positive that she surpassed five feet when standing. She was incredibly petite, and her slender figure was typically reclined in her office or at a
piano bench during rehearsals, with her right leg crossed over her left. Her fine (but thick) hair was just slightly blond, and often pulled back by a
black zigzag headband. She had bright blue eyes behind her glasses, always shockingly rimmed with light blue eyeliner. I grew much closer to her in
my sophomore year when I became eligible to participate in PMEA events. PMEA, the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, hosted district,
region, and state evaluations for band, orchestra, and choir. Mrs. Smithgall suggested that I audition on Alto 1 instead of singing Soprano 2, as I
normally did in the school choir. "Classical soprano is written unfairly," she chuckled as I signed up. I practiced with her a few times before District
Chorus PreāAuds, and

Green has never been my favorite color, especially if it is someone's last name. Why can it be blue or red? Those are fun and brilliant colors, unlike
green. I was in my sophomore year when I met Mrs. Green, and my very first thought was very depressing. I said to myself, "this is going to be a
long, boring year." Then I realize that I was so wrong to judge someone just by their last name. Mrs. Green, my tenāgrade AP Spanish teacher, was one
of the most encouraging teachers I had in my life. She was a strict yet comprehensible teacher, she made a hard worker, and she made me a
stronger student. First, Mrs. Green was the strict teacher I ever encountered, but yet she was the most comprehensible teacher. The Spanish
literature was not easy and yet she would assign us these huge short stories like, "El Sur," by Jorge Luis Borges, or these really complicated poems
like, "Hombres Necios que Acusais," by Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. She would make us read these stories or poems at home, then re read them in
front of the class like a presentation. This was a foul because everyone would get nervous because this was very hard Spanish words, so everyone
mumbled with their sweaty palms trying to pronounce the words correctly like this word acusais. To finish, you had to explain everything you read
and made sure everyone understood your point of view. This might sound hard to accomplish, but after you finished Mrs. Green was super
understanding of your point of view. If you were

11. Essay On My Favorite Teacher
Second Favorite Teacher Essay There is a lady in my life who is very, very important to me. The lady's name being Terry Wolfinger. Yes, this lady is
the first name on all of my emergency contact papers, but that is not why she means the world to me. Terry is meaningful to me because she has
exposed me to new things that I have never learned to do. Although she may not be my teacher in school, Terry has taught me a lot of material within
the past year and a half. Terry has taught me, and is currently teaching me, how to do simple chores, cook, and how one person can be so crucial in
someone's life. She is doing all of that while being caring, helpful, and somewhat stern. While she has been a mentor to me, her being my gram is the
icing on the cake.
While Terry is a superb teacher, she is also kind of strict. Terry has her own way of doing stuff, and if you do not do it Terrys way, it is not the right
way. Her being so rigid leads me to learn more about what to do and how to do chores, mainly because if I do not do it right, I have to do it over
and over again. Once in awhile she will make me follow her around so she can show me how to do things, and gets mad if I leave. You would think
that almost every teenager knows how to make their own bed, right? Well, apparently I did not. Making my bed the "right" way is something my
grandmother taught me to do, and she made sure it got done correctly. She would even stand there a watch me do it and critique me on everything.
Though she is sort of strict, it helps me learn better because I know I have to get the bed made right, or I will have to be retaught until it is done
correctly. .
Even though Terry is strict in her ways of teaching in the house, she is caring outside of the house. I am not sure if she knows this, but when she is
with me and I see how Terry acts towards people, it teaches me how I should behave around people. My grandmother puts everyone before herself,
even in situations where she should come first. Her being this way has taught me to do the same. While we were away in West Virginia at a work
camp, Terry formed a bond with our whole crew after just an hour of knowing them! These people came from all over the United States and they

12. My Favorite Teacher By Thomas Friedman Summary
Thomas L. Friedman the author of "My Favorite Teacher" discusses in that essay his teacher Hattie M. Steinberg, her influence on him, and how
relevant her teachings would have been in this internet day and age. Friedman uses the repetition of his favorite teacher's name and classroom number
to connect and unify these ideas. For example, Friedman believes that many people have forgotten the fundamentals due to the internet so he uses the
repetition of his teacher's name and classroom to connect both ideas. He states this in the ninth paragraph "Among the fundamentals Hattie introduced
me to was The New York Times. Every morning it was delivered to room 313...." In the following paragraph Friedman does the same thing using the
repetition of his

In most schools nowadays, teachers are there for other reasons besides to teach students. Yes, they show up every day and "teach" because that is their
job, but most of the time this is not what is most important to them. I think this is part of the reason students are not retaining the information they are
being taught each day in class. Most teachers are not passionate about what they teach. For example, they apply for a job at a school to be a sports
coach. They get the job and all of a sudden, they become a world geography teacher. This teacher is a coach forced to teach, so he does not really care
whether or not the student learns the material. He just needs students to pass his class, so he can keep his coaching job. Teachers who...show more

Needless to say, this was just one example of a teacher that was only concerned about whether or not we passed his class. These teachers did not care
enough about academics to actually teach us. Once again, their main priority was the success of their sports team.
On the other hand, some of my teachers were excellent. They cared about their students actually understanding the information. They had other
interests besides whether or not the students had the grades to simply move onto the next level course like the teachers previously mentioned.
These were the teachers that were passionate about what they were teaching. They might give us loads of work to do like the other teachers, but
the difference is that they would take the time to give thorough explanations so that we would really learn the subject. They would allow us to ask
questions and explained the topic until we understood it. If we asked a question they did not know the answer to, they would look it up and get
back to us. For example, this past year I took an AP Biology II course. My teacher absolutely loved her job and was passionate about the material she
was teaching us. She came to class everyday with Power Point presentations prepared, and she had charts and diagrams labeled for us to better
understand the chapter focus. She also did labs and experiments with us so that we could get a handsāon look at what we were learning. She usually had
an answer for every question we asked, but if she did not, she

14. Education : My Favorite Teacher
Throughout my years of school I have noticed that some teachers care more than others. I've had wonderful teachers and terrible teachers in every
year of school. Some teachers who are very in to what they teach and some teachers who just sit in the corner on their computer while the students
watch a video waiting for the bell to ring at 2:25. In this essay I am going to reālive all of those years and talk about the teachers who truly cared about
their students and were not there teaching for some ulterior motive. Most of my favorite teachers were my music teachers. This is because they were
always there after school to help if you were struggling with something. In middle school I always used that to my advantage to get better. Once
teacher helped out and my first year playing an instrument I made an honor band which is a huge privilege. I couldn't have done this without her.
Throughout the next four years I used her to my advantage. I have made almost every single honor band you could think of thanks to her. Another
one of my teachers saw that I was failing her class she took it upon herself to offer me private tutoring. I stayed after school every Tuesday and
Thursday, keep in mind this also took up her time at home as well as mine, to get help in biology. I knew that she had a family to take care of but

Trying to determine my favorite teacher over the past sixteen years of my life, I went through every grade of school searching for the best academic
teacher I had. I loved some of my math teachers and some who taught English, but I could not find the one teacher that stood out above the rest.
However, similarly to how most writers find their inspiration, when I was having a random conversation with my family one day, I found myself
rambling on and on about how fantastic a certain teacher was. I had not even thought about her as an option for my favorite teacher, but after talking
about her for about fifteen minutes straight I reconsidered my choices. Elective courses, classes besides the four core subjects, are usually not taken as

Russell was such a good teacher. An individual who walked into her class on any given day would realize the amount of time she dedicates into a
single class period. She opens every tab necessary on her computer before class for the lesson in order to not waste a second of time. Generally, she
had about ten tabs open. My class completed several activities a day, and she knew exactly which order to assign them in and how long the class
would need for each one. It seems like a characteristic any teacher should have, but I do not think I have ever been taught by a teacher that put so
much planning into her lessons. She constantly grades papers in order to get grades in as soon as possible; my friends and I have observed her
grading at several events, including pep rallies and basketball games. She grades so much that she has developed a neck injury from looking down
at her desk so much. I remember her saying during class one day, "If I start crying, don't worry; my neck is in a lot of pain from grading your
papers, but I'll be fine". Most teachers would take the day off or sit down or something, but not Mrs. Russell. If she took a day off, I knew something

I remember when going to preschool use to be my favorite thing to do. I did over three years of preschool because while I was in daycare Miss

we had rock wars on the playground. Daycare and preschool is a time that I will never forget.
Teacher I Hate The meanest teacher I ever had was my math teacher. She wasn't a bad teacher she just didn't know how to come across right. plus
she always gave me detention after school so that made me spend more time there than I wanted to. It wasn't even for good reasons, she just got mad

He studies Chemistry, English, Maths, Physics, Technology and Physical Education. He plans on doing these subjects again next year if the timetable
works. Outside of class he plays hockey. He never considered International Baccalaureate (IB) because NCEA is perfectly adequate and for what he

His favourite subject is physics as it is easy to understand as there is a lot of formulas and it is applicable to what he wants to do after school. He

Chemistry as it takes a lot of time outside of class which he does not have. He also struggles because it requires a lot of memorisation and he doesn't

For him a great teacher is someone who can interact with the class and give real life examples. They would spend a bit of time with each student
getting to know them and figuring out where the class is up to and whether the pace of the class needs to be slowed down. He also thinks that giving
some questions for homework which recaps the days learning is important. This needs to be followed up the next lesson and if the class isn't grasping
the concept then they will take that period to reteach the concept to ensure that all students have had enough time to learn it.
