Science Kits for 5 year olds
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found these science kits for five year olds. Science and
experiment gifts usually start at eight years, so this is a really great addition to the
What2Buy4Kids stock room – and a fab new idea for the Christmas present list!
Science Kit Types

Stars and Planets, The Human Body and Intro to Engineering. All these kits are fun and
educational, and contain lots of different experiments for eager and enquiring minds.
2. Science Kits for over 5s
For older kids, there’s slime, magic and gunk galore! We’ve got finger printing detective kits,
dinosaur excavation kits and even hovercraft and cosmic jet racers! Check out our best sellers
here.
Choosing a Science Kit
The hardest part is deciding which one to choose! I try to take myself back to being a child when
I’m buying gifts for my kids. I distinctly remember wanting to be a detective at one point and
always wanted a magnifying glass. For a while the stars fascinated me and I was always curious
about blood, teeth and biology.
But first on my list would be the stars and planets – you get to build a solar system! I think it’s
just wonderful that a child as young as five can begin to understand the wonders of the world.
And (here’s the teacher in me again), these kits help develop independent thinking. Experiments
help children explore their creative imaginations as they wonder what’s going to happen, and the
results help them to connect the dots of logic and reason. How does it get better than that?
What are your kids into? Which kits would spark their imaginations the most?
