West Hatch Sixth Form offers a range of A-levels and vocational courses taught by experienced staff. It focuses on strong pastoral support, guidance for post-18 pathways, and regular communication. For the past five years, BTEC results have remained high, with an average grade of a Distinction. Students have gone on to universities such as Queen Mary University London. The sixth form emphasizes independence, extracurricular activities, and advice on topics like university, apprenticeships, mental health, and revision. It maintains high expectations for student attendance, engagement, organization, and conduct.

Apprenticeships have become really popular as a Post-18 destination for our Year 13 students
in the last three years with successful placements at leading companies such as:
25. • Maintain a high level of attendance (over 95%) and attend all lessons, examinations, form time and timetabled
supervised study sessions.
• Be punctual to all lessons, examinations, form time, and supervised study sessions.
• Adhere to all deadlines set for assignments and home learning.
• Fully engage in every lesson through preparation, participation and consolidation.
• Complete all work set to the very best of your ability
• Be well-organised at all times.
• Commit to independent learning including revision and completion of work during supervised study.
• Be reflective and honest about your own progress and how to improve.
• Respond to all feedback from staff.
• Be polite to all members of staff, following instructions first time and show each other and all members of our
community respect.
• Check Teams, Show my Homework, e-mails, notice board and plasma screens for information every day.
• Adhere to the Sixth Form dress-code and wear student ID lanyard at all times.
• Keep paid work to no more than 8 hours per week and must not be during timetabled school sessions.
• Regular medical, dental, optical appointments and driving lessons etc should not be scheduled during the school day
and holidays should not be taken during term time.
• Act as a positive role model for younger students and behave in a manner which befits a West Hatch Sixth Form student
