Ahmad Hassan is seeking to pursue further research in nano materials like magnetic nanoparticles and their application in water treatment. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry and research experience synthesizing Fe3O4-MgO nanoparticles for dye removal. His goals are to develop a new aeration co-precipitation method to synthesize nanoparticles with controlled size and large surface area for effective and rapid pollutant removal from wastewater. 7. Study Plan
I synthesized Fe3O4-MgO nanoparticles by a new Aeration Co-
precipitation method for the removal of dyes.
I want to do further research for the removal of Azo dyes which are
widely use in industries, By using different kinds of nanoparticles.
Nanoparticles have larger surface area and most useful in modern
life. A new aeration co-precipitation method can be used to
synthesis nanoparticles with better efficiency. Fe3O4 and ZnO and
others nanoparticles can be prepared by using different methods
and we can use them for the removal of Azo dyes. Nanoparticles are
Low cost, easy preparation and more useful while dealing with
degradation of dyes. It’s a new method which will help to learn
more about advance technique.

8. Methodology
To synthesize Fe3O4 – ZnO nanoparticles, a new aeration co-precipitation
method will be used. The purpose of this method is to apply excess oxygen to
reduce the size of Nanoparticles and enhance the reactivity of reaction. By using
magnetic stirrer hot plate, the solutions of these chemical FeSO4,
Fe2(SO4)2.2H2O and ZnSO4 will be poured in a flask and keep it on hot plate at
about 70 rpm, and NaOH solution will be added drop by drop at about room
temperature then solution will be filtered and dry at about 80 ℃ temperature
then NPs will be kept in furnace at about 600℃ temperature for one day to get
Fe3O4 – ZnO NPs. Removal of dyes from drinking and industrial
waste will be observed by these nanoparticles. Characterization of NPs will be
observed by using FTIR, XRD and SEM. Different optimum parameters such as
effect of stirring time, Temperature, pH, concentration of Dye and Adsorbent
dose will be observed by using these NPs for treatment of waste water.

9. Objective/Goals
 The main objective of this project is to synthesize the controlled size
with large surface area Fe3O4-ZnO NPs.
 Low cost, easy preparation and more useful while dealing
with degradation of dyes.
 It’s a new method which will help to learn more about advance technique.
 It’s an effective and rapid technique in the removal of pollutants
from waste water.
