3. What Motives me
• Why are Americans so proud of their constitution when it sacrifices their children’s lives to protect their
guns? A constitution that does that is broken. Over 90 percent of Americans want reform but it doesn’t
happen because of the construction. That is a broken constitution. A written construction has to grow and
evolve and respond to a nation’s needs. A constitution that doesn’t is a broken constitution. Other
countries are free of tyranny, have free speech, rule of law, the right to vote WITHOUT the Second
Amendment. Rule of law, free speech and voting is what protects a democracy from tyranny, not
guns. The creators of the second amendment had no idea how advanced we’ve become in the future.
They were living in a war zone environment with the American Revolution, The French and Indian War,
and the Civil War. Times have changed and we are living in a time of semi-peace. We don’t need war
weapons. I understand if you want protection or go hunting, but we don’t need weapons that can be used
to cause massacres. And I believe we need a protocol like the ones in Japan. It may seem like a lot, but
I’d rather do that than let there be a chance for our children to be in danger. As a sibling, daughter, and
student, we need change.
• Also want to make difference with health care. "American health care is expensive because people go to
the doctor too much". That's one that really ticks me off. The overwhelming majority of people will not
go to see a doctor unless they truly feel sick. After all, how many people actually look forward to being
admitted to a hospital? Not unless they have to go!
4. What I have learned
• I learned the limitations of the Articles of
Confederation and how the Constitution was
able to solve those issues.
• I learned about the media role in politics and
how media can be biased.
5. climate change, poverty, hunger, disease,
the spread of weapons of mass destruction,
and cyber crime.
• I will vote and Look forward, as America continues to
become more diverse and accepting of the differences
among us, that’ll hopefully help us gain a greater
ability to join the rest of the world in confronting the
biggest challenges left to us to solve over the next 50
years. Battles like climate change, poverty, hunger,
disease, the spread of weapons of mass destruction,
and cyber crime, are all issues that transcend
international borders, requiring cooperation between
many different kinds of people.
6. First amendment
• There is no argument about amendment’s because first amendment tops all
of the amendments for me because the “First Amendment” encompasses
freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom to
assemble peaceably, and freedom to petition the government. The first
amendment is the most important because it gives the people a chance to
have a voice and stand up for what they believe in. Without the amendment
the government would have a lot more power and we would have less say in
it.
7. Lesson carry beyond course
• I learned a lot of new stuff on this class and
sure will carry beyond this course.
• I learned why I should vote, how my vote can
make a difference, and how careful we have to
before vote.
• I grew sympathy for the people who run this
country, because (if you agree with them or
not) they make some tough calls.
