Problem Statement:
To find a way that will more
directly involve both employees
and students in job placements to
share ownership in the process
with stakeholders.
Solution 1:
Employers come to school to watch
students in action as they work in small
groups on a challenging task that has
been given to them. Employers evaluate
the students on how they perform on task
and how they work with others. This
observation will help identify those
students that will be the best fit for their
business.

students handle crisis or additional challenge
•Give employers a say in the task that is given

•Does it pay for employers to sit through all
digital portfolios if students are not interested in
a particular employer’s business?
•Would it be better for employers to view the
digital portfolios at their business?
•Should students go to the place of business
rather than the employers come to school?
•When/how will the students complete their
digital portfolios?
•Perhaps students are not able to watch as
employers view portfolios, giving the
employers an opportunity to talk amongst
each other
•Perhaps individual debriefing session or
panel after the portfolios are viewed
•Organize the showing of the portfolios
based on the type of employment being
sought after
•Organization of what employers see which portfolios
