help the team to identify opportunities, develop strategies and generate a roadmap for studies

Alunorte, Barcarena, Pará, Brazil. As Process Consultant participated in the Alunorte Refinery
Review towards achievement of 6.32 MTPA sustainable alumina capacity level by the 4th quarter
2015. Additionally in the route to complete the objective any opportunity for production increase
and operating cost reduction was captured.
Confidential Client, Greenfield Alumina Refinery, Brazil. As Refinery Consultant participated in the
FEL3 design for a Greenfield Alumina Refinery with focus on the Process design, technology
selection, equipment capacities and operation& maintenance strategies.
UC Rusal, Ewarton Works, Ewarton, Jamaica. One of the two Refinery Technical Consultants from
Hatch Ltd. to be seconded to the Rusal team working on the process design criteria for the
modernization of Ewarton Works. The scope for the process experts covered (i) Review of Rusal’s
alternatives and preferred technical solutions for modernization of Ewarton alumina refinery and
(ii) Review of the Process Design Criteria, provided by Rusal.
Confidential, Refinery, Brazil. As Refinery Technical Consultant in a team to provide bauxite and
alumina expertise to assist with development of information to be used for a high level due
diligence of Bauxite mining and Alumina Refinery project.
Confidential Project 1.5 MTPA, Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Process Engineering Lead for a
Conceptual Greenfield Alumina Refinery design with an initial capacity of 1.5 MTPA and an
ultimate capacity of 3.0 MTPA. Beneficiated bauxite will be transfer to the Refinery from two plants
in two regions. The alumina would be partially transferred to their own Smelter via railroad and
the rest would be transferred by road to a new Port – Porto de Açu.
Votorantim Metais, Alumina Modernization Project, Aluminio, São Paulo, Brazil. Process
Engineering Lead for the development of FEL 2 phase for 3 projects of the CBA Refinery
modernization project. The projects were closed circuit Bauxite Milling to improve grinding,
Bauxite slurry indirect heating recycling to improve heating and eliminate settling issues, and
Digestion Live steam condensate return to Deaerator to reduce energy losses. A fourth Project,
which is Lake water usage in the Refinery, was developed at the conceptual level.
Kakande Ltd., Lissa Alumina Refinery, Guinee, Guinea. As Consultant Process Engineer participated
in the design of a Greenfield Alumina Refinery of 3.0 MTPA production capacity and related
infrastructure including a railroad. Management program for services at port, retro-port and
bauxite mine and all associated structure for a FEL2 phase corresponding to a Capex around
US$ 4.0 billion.
Mubadala and Dubal, Shaheen Alumina Refinery, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As Technical
Process Consultant participated in the Process Brainstorming for the Shaheen Project with a 2
MTPA Refinery capacity - and also some activities on process work for the Prefeasibility phase in
2012.

Technical and Environment review of an Alumina Refinery for current Operational and

Lead integrating a Greenfield Alumina Refinery with a capacity of 3.0 MTPA and associated Bauxite
mine, Bauxite beneficiation plant and all associated infra-structure for a FEL2 phase corresponding
to a Capex of US$ 3.7 billion.
Alunorte Refinery, Barcarena, Pará, Brazil. As Refinery Technical Consultant providing technical
and operational assistance for the Refinery. Most of the involvement was in the Precipitation area,
during June 2008 thru April 2009.
Vale, CAP Alumina Refinery Project, Barcarena, Pará, Brazil. As Refinery Technical Consultant
participated in Technical discussions and assisted with consolidation of the scope of the New
Alumina Refinery (CAP) project of Vale.
