1994 - 1996: Environmental Engineering (2-year assignment) – Caltex H/O in USA – Dallas,
TX
Reported to the Caltex Global Environmental Manager based in Dallas. Training
consisted of 2 years exposure to global environmental standards for petroleum
storage and handling facilities. Attended courses on environmental auditing, air
emission clean up solutions and oil spill management to name a few. Focus was
on engineering solutions to prevent pollution as well as clean up methods.
1980 – 1994: Regional Engineer plus other roles (14 years of various disciplines) – Caltex SA.
Engineering: capex project work and facility maintenance in KZN / Eastern Cape
plus Mozambique.
Constructed a warehouse (2,500 m2) at the Lube Manufacturing Plant (LMP) in
Durban KZN.
Built 1 x 10 million-litre diesel storage tank in Beira Mozambique.

Training consisted of 2 years exposure to global environmental standards for petroleum storage and handling facilities. Attended courses on environmental auditing, air emission clean up solutions and oil spill management to name a few. Focus was on engineering solutions to prevent pollution as well as clean up methods. 1980 – 1994: Regional Engineer plus other roles (14 years of various disciplines) – Caltex SA.
