Why People Like To Eat Unhealthy Food
When it comes to your health, who do you listen to, your body
or expert? Do you consider that are harmful to your body.” bad
food “or “junk food”? Mary Maxfield recommends that we need
to listen our body than we do to expert. She also says that we
should label food good verse bad instead of the word “junk food
“. Michael Pollan argues that our body is not always correct and
that why we should leave it to the professionals. He also argues
that in other to leave heathier lives we need to cut out junk
food. Both Pollan and Maxfield have very different views on the
way we should take care of our health. Why do people eat food
unhealthily, Michael pollan asserts that junk food is filled with
tons of carbohydrate and omega-3-faty acid that then causes
chronic deasses. He then goes on to say “Eat food. Not too
much. Mostly plant” (Pollan,2008, p.628).
There are many different beliefs about the proper way to eat
healthy. People are often misleading and live unhealthy lifestyle
as a result. Both Mary Maxfield and Michael Pollan explain
their own beliefs on what healthy diet is and how to live a
healthy lifestyle. In the essay “Escape from the Western diet”
Michael Pollan writes about the flaws of the western diet and
how we can correct these problems to become healthier. In the
essay “Food as Thought: Resisting the Moralization of Eating”,
Mary Maxfield criticizes Michael Pollan’s essay about eating
healthy. She believes that Pollan is contradicting himself and
that what he is stating is false. Mary Maxfield ponders on why
the people should eat to primarily for a good purpose and not to
eat unhealthily. She stated that American people should protect
themselves rather than been known as a nation stricken by heart
diseases, diabetes, and cancer (Maxfield, p.642).
The author of “Escape from the Western Diet”, Michael Pollan
places the blame on the western diet, arguing that people need
only to change their eating habit to prevent chronic diseases.
The western diet consists of food high in sugar and fat, as well
as a large consumption of red meats and refined grains. As a
result, people who consume a western diet faces problems with
their weight and often have many diseases as listed above
(paragraph3) and they are traced back to poor dieting. The
writer thinks this habit is unhealthy and he further continue
ticking out his point that even those who are supposed to acts
on how to reduce the rate at which junk food or unhealthy food
are bought are not doing so. (Pollan,2013, p.625)
The Author Mary Maxfield explain that the factors that causes
obesity is not only unhealthy food also he believed that the
right way of eating involves eating less and differently than we
instinctively would “what a person eats [rarely] takes primacy
over how they eat it” (Allison, “Eating”). In essence, we can eat
as we as always have – which includes eating for emotional and
social reason -and still survive or even thrive (Maxfield, p.644).
The writer supports that people can eat the way they like and
thus give then the believes that they can eat as they desire.
Mary Maxfield theory on how to eat healthy is to trust “Trust
Yourself” Trust nobody. Meet your needs.” you can eat
whatever you want or need and have to trust that your body will
tell you what it needs.
Eating the pizza instead of the salad seemed like a good idea at
the time, but now one is stuck in this sloth like state hours later.
It seems letting craving control what and how to is not the best
strategy to healthy living.
Mary Maxfield, in her article “Food For Thought: Resisting the
Moralization of Food” discussed her view on how people should
eat. She believes people should eat what they crave. The Author
claim that diet, health, and weight are not correlated with each
other, and because of the this, people view obesity as unhealthy,
thus forcing them to distinguish “right, healthy” food from the
“wrong, unhealthy” choices. As a result, she concludes that
science has nothing to do with how people eat but Pollan
mention too that it is difficult to make healthier choices be
caused process foods, such as canned or frozen fruits and
vegetables, packaged foods, fortified foods, and easy-to -
prepare foods, constitute of more than 75% of food in grocery
stores. Maxwell writes “When we attempt to rise above our
animal nature through the moralization of food, we
unnecessarily complicate the practice of eating food- be it
French fry or granola bar, Twinkie or brown rice- isn’t moral or
immoral “(Maxwell 644) Maxfield main point is essentially “Eat
the food if you are well please.
In conclusion Pollan and Maxfield obviously have hugely
differing viewpoint. Maxfield attacked pollan for being
hypocritical and essentially preaching what he is fight against.
She believes that Pollan is contributing to the hysteria and
preaching for what he is so adamant in fighting, but Maxfield
on the other hand is being realistic, and she takes a more honest
approach for people day -to-day lives. The author Maxfield has
a valid argument in regard to still remaining healthy, but she
focuses more on the fact that the food is meant to nourish a
person, mind, body and soul. If eating a Twinkie or
cheeseburger feels like the right things to do, then it should not
matter its nutritional value, as long as it is consumed in
moderation. The author is making a reasonable suggestion for
everyday person to make positive changes in their lives, and by
doing it in such manner, it will have a better effect on people
and thus, create more positive change.

Summary and Respond to Michael Pollan “Escape From The
Western Diet”
The Undertow of Nutritionism is Powerful
In “Escape from the Western Diet” by Michael Pollan, the
author summarizes that much nutrition science qualifies as
reductionist science, focusing as it does on individual nutrient
rather than whole food or dietary pattern. The author further
explained clearly that the effort of the reductionist science is
the right measure to try to figure out what Is wrong with the
western diet. He describes insightfully that using this sort to try
to figure out what is wrong with the western diet is totally
unavoidable but he complains stingingly that such measures is
however imperfect. Pollan mention that such acts satisfy our
hunger for simple, one nutrient explanation and he warned not
to mistake them for the whole truth or to let any one of them
dictate the way you eat.(Pollan,2008,p.624)
The author contends shrewdly that the lipid hypothesis cannot
be reconcile with the carbohydrate hypothesis and that a
deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids and this often results to for
many chronic illness and theory that refines carbohydrates are
the keys.
Furthermore the author added that while everyone can agree
that the flood of refined carbohydrate has pushed important
micronutrients out of the modern diet.
He further explains that the scientist that blame our health
problem on deficiency of this micronutrient are not the same
scientist who see a sugar-soaked diet leading to metabolic
syndrome and from there to diabetes and cancer. Pollan raised a
good point on such critics of the lipid hypothesis embracing the
carbohydrate hypothesis with the same absolutist zeal that they
ones condemned in the Fat Boys. He mention what he did during
the courses of his research, he mention that he was warned by
the scientist allied with the carbohydrate camp not to “fall
under the spell of omega-3 cult” (Pollan,2008,p.625) cult? He
added that there are a lot more religion science than you might
expect.
To Denis Burkett, the English doctor stationed to Africa during
World War II who gave the western diseases their name explain
insightfully that the answer seemed straightforward, if daunting
“The only way we’re going to reduces diseases “ he said is to go
backwards to the lifestyle of our ancestors”(Pollan,2008.p.627).
Furthermore he added that the we should not worrying about
nutrients but we should avoid sort of food that have been
processed to such an extent, he opined that it is more of the
product of the industry than that of nature. Consequently
Gyorgy Scrinis, who coined the term “Nutrionism” explains
clearly that the most important part of any food is not its
nutrient content but its degree of processing
(Pollan,2008,p.625).
Pollan’s explains that to plot our way out of western diet is not
going to easy, but he’s so sure it can be done only if we follow
the rule. He explains clearly in the course of his research he
developed some straightforward rules of thumb, and personal
eating policies that can point us in the right direction but he
elucidates respectfully that he wasn’t trying to dictates anyone’s
menu but he wants us to eat healthy and when we think about
Food and Health we will think about nutritionist terms -about
our personal physical health and how the ingestion of this
particular nutrients or rejection of that affect
it.(Pollan,2008.p.628).
“The undertow of Nutrionism is
powerful”(Pollan,2008,p.624). The author describes insightfully
how nutrition and nutritionist are to be cheaply blame for all the
chronic illness and diseases among the western people and he
states the hypothesis at which is based upon. He opined that in
the Walter Willet responded to the critics who asked him why
Nurses’ health study didn’t study the benefits of more alternate
diets, he responded that “people don’t want to go
there”(Pollan,2008,p.625). He furthermore describes that then
we’ll know things has changed when doctors kick the fast food
franchised out of the hospital.
[I’d like to propose a toast] thee rules- “Eat food. Not too
much. Mostly plants”(Pollan,2008,p.631). Pollan’s proposed
some practical ways to separate, and defend, real from the
cascade of foodlike product that now surround and confound us
mostly the supermarket. He affirm and specifically dwell on
“Mostly Plants” so as help us sort which product to avoid and
the best type of food we should all eat which is mostly fruits
and vegetables and shift the focus from this to “Not too Much”
he suggested that how often do you eat them and the manner,
mores and habits that goes along with eating healthy.
The essay by Michael Pollan titled “Escaped From The
Western Diet” is interesting and insightful to read, and I found
most of the point raised resonated with my own experiences and
made me think of his idea for several days giving me insight
about how I could have better responded when I got to eat when
I checked mostly food items bought at the supermarket.

In the ancient time it is known to us by the story we heard that
our forefathers only feeds on mostly plant and the author
Michael pollan said the same thing. He said to ease the effects
of food problem, we should go ecological and use cultural
approach. To Dennis Burkett, the English doctor stationed in
Africa during world war 11 who gave the western diseases their
name, the answer seemed daunting . “The only way we’re going
reduce diseases” he said “is to go backwards to the diet and
lifestyle of our ancestors”.(Pollan,
2013,p.645) This is only the way forward of death the
Americans goes through all because of obesity. This is the
healthiest ways to live in our society today. The author Olga
Khazan only give his support to eating fruit related as food.
Khazan argument gives reason why Americans does gives
options to eating fruit as food, he said some have neighborhood
that suffer from lack of access to cheap, easy , and healthful
options. In such community sickness and death race will be so
high as a result of junk food consumption rate within that
neighborhood. The author David H. Freedman argues about the
only thing making the American people fat is salt and sugar.
The only trace to people sudden death or their strictly chronic
diseases is the fact that the substance of things consume is
unhealthy. David H. Freedman said “The food they’re cooking
is making people sick” (Freedman,2013,p.684).It is one of the
reasons that we have obesity and diabetes epidemics that we
have we do. If you’re going to let industries decide how much
salt, sugar and fat is in your food, they’re going to put [in] as
much as they possibly can. They will push those button until we
scream or die”. The choice we have to replace Big food’s
engineered , edible evil- through public education and
regulation-with fresh, unprocessed, local, seasonal, real food.
The author knows that the end result of eating the junk food is
not going to be good for all of us, the only option that we have
is to star eating real food at this stage of our life. The author
Michael pollan agree with what Freedman said. Pollan too
suggest that people eating western diet are prone to a complex
of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer that seldom trike,
people eating more traditional diets. The author Olga Khazan
didn’t in support with what pollan said, khazan said the
reducing obesity shouldn’t be the goal, not an immediate one.
He said other than weight loss, there are plenty of advantages
of eating well, like preventing some forms of cancer. The author
point out that encouraging people to eat good so as to prevent
chronic diseases should be the best goal rather that forcing
people to shed weight.
Khazan quotes Mike Curtin, who says of the Healthy corners
program, “This is not going to end obesity, or diabetes. It’s
naïve to think that’s the case. People will avail themselves of
this food , but people are still going to eat junk food the author
pointed out that organic grocery store is still selling brownies,
the author urging that people are to encourage to stop the eating
of junk food and the junk food are so convenient for them to get
and to eat and even the author David Freedman said that an
enormous amount of media space has been dedicated to
promoting the notion that all process food, and only process
food is making us sickly and overweight(Freedman,2013,p.685).
The author summarized that the process at which all the junk
food we eat is addicted with fat, sugar and salt which are
causing a lot of damages to our body system and this are
contributing to obesity crisis. The result of eating junk food can
not be shunned or erased.
In conclusion the authors Michael Pollan,, Olga Khazan and
David H, Freedman made up their point on the important of
eating healthy and the factors that causes the food scarcity and
the risk involved in failure to eat healthily. Obesity is a silent
killer thereby should be no more. The effect of this junk food is
more greater than their benefit. Pollan said [I’d like to propose]
three rules- “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants”. The
author suggests the best way to live healthy and live longer than
living ones life in sickness or sudden death.

Abstract: This paper is a brief study on issues relating to junk
food and healthy food. Healthy diet consists in consuming
nutritionally balanced foods. Unhealthy diet includes many high
processed foods which are rich in calories but low in nutrients.
Consuming of junk food is responsible along with other factors
such as pollution, stress for increasing of disease risk and
obesity. Healthy diet contributes to minimizing the risk of
illness. Junk foods contain refined sugar, saturated fats, salt,
artificial sweeteners and additives wich are unhealthy for
human body. Healty foods are rich in mineral substances,
vitamins, antioxidants, fibers, proteins with high biological
value, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids which are important for
human health. The manily reasons for which junk food are
sometimes preferred is that that they are often cheaper then
healty foods and are saled as ready to eat or as conveniences
foods that need a little time for cooking or preparing them.
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] (AN: 134395917)
The author of the articles Michael Pollan, Olga Khazan, David,
H. Freedman all buttress the danger in eating junk food that it
causes chronic sickness like cancer, diabetes, high blood
pressure and so on. Then they propose to eat healthily and it
should not be much and it should be mostly plant
(Pollan,2008.p.682).

  • 1. 2 Why People Like To Eat Unhealthy Food Marvellous .S. Surajudeen Department of English, Ivy-Tech Community College English 111 OFH Professor Scott Cook February 11, 2021 Why People Like To Eat Unhealthy Food When it comes to your health, who do you listen to, your body or expert? Do you consider that are harmful to your body.” bad food “or “junk food”? Mary Maxfield recommends that we need to listen our body than we do to expert. She also says that we should label food good verse bad instead of the word “junk food “. Michael Pollan argues that our body is not always correct and that why we should leave it to the professionals. He also argues that in other to leave heathier lives we need to cut out junk food. Both Pollan and Maxfield have very different views on the way we should take care of our health. Why do people eat food unhealthily, Michael pollan asserts that junk food is filled with tons of carbohydrate and omega-3-faty acid that then causes
  • 2. chronic deasses. He then goes on to say “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plant” (Pollan,2008, p.628). There are many different beliefs about the proper way to eat healthy. People are often misleading and live unhealthy lifestyle as a result. Both Mary Maxfield and Michael Pollan explain their own beliefs on what healthy diet is and how to live a healthy lifestyle. In the essay “Escape from the Western diet” Michael Pollan writes about the flaws of the western diet and how we can correct these problems to become healthier. In the essay “Food as Thought: Resisting the Moralization of Eating”, Mary Maxfield criticizes Michael Pollan’s essay about eating healthy. She believes that Pollan is contradicting himself and that what he is stating is false. Mary Maxfield ponders on why the people should eat to primarily for a good purpose and not to eat unhealthily. She stated that American people should protect themselves rather than been known as a nation stricken by heart diseases, diabetes, and cancer (Maxfield, p.642). The author of “Escape from the Western Diet”, Michael Pollan places the blame on the western diet, arguing that people need only to change their eating habit to prevent chronic diseases. The western diet consists of food high in sugar and fat, as well as a large consumption of red meats and refined grains. As a result, people who consume a western diet faces problems with their weight and often have many diseases as listed above (paragraph3) and they are traced back to poor dieting. The writer thinks this habit is unhealthy and he further continue ticking out his point that even those who are supposed to acts on how to reduce the rate at which junk food or unhealthy food are bought are not doing so. (Pollan,2013, p.625) The Author Mary Maxfield explain that the factors that causes obesity is not only unhealthy food also he believed that the right way of eating involves eating less and differently than we instinctively would “what a person eats [rarely] takes primacy over how they eat it” (Allison, “Eating”). In essence, we can eat as we as always have – which includes eating for emotional and social reason -and still survive or even thrive (Maxfield, p.644).
  • 3. The writer supports that people can eat the way they like and thus give then the believes that they can eat as they desire. Mary Maxfield theory on how to eat healthy is to trust “Trust Yourself” Trust nobody. Meet your needs.” you can eat whatever you want or need and have to trust that your body will tell you what it needs. Eating the pizza instead of the salad seemed like a good idea at the time, but now one is stuck in this sloth like state hours later. It seems letting craving control what and how to is not the best strategy to healthy living. Mary Maxfield, in her article “Food For Thought: Resisting the Moralization of Food” discussed her view on how people should eat. She believes people should eat what they crave. The Author claim that diet, health, and weight are not correlated with each other, and because of the this, people view obesity as unhealthy, thus forcing them to distinguish “right, healthy” food from the “wrong, unhealthy” choices. As a result, she concludes that science has nothing to do with how people eat but Pollan mention too that it is difficult to make healthier choices be caused process foods, such as canned or frozen fruits and vegetables, packaged foods, fortified foods, and easy-to - prepare foods, constitute of more than 75% of food in grocery stores. Maxwell writes “When we attempt to rise above our animal nature through the moralization of food, we unnecessarily complicate the practice of eating food- be it French fry or granola bar, Twinkie or brown rice- isn’t moral or immoral “(Maxwell 644) Maxfield main point is essentially “Eat the food if you are well please. In conclusion Pollan and Maxfield obviously have hugely differing viewpoint. Maxfield attacked pollan for being hypocritical and essentially preaching what he is fight against. She believes that Pollan is contributing to the hysteria and preaching for what he is so adamant in fighting, but Maxfield on the other hand is being realistic, and she takes a more honest approach for people day -to-day lives. The author Maxfield has a valid argument in regard to still remaining healthy, but she
  • 4. focuses more on the fact that the food is meant to nourish a person, mind, body and soul. If eating a Twinkie or cheeseburger feels like the right things to do, then it should not matter its nutritional value, as long as it is consumed in moderation. The author is making a reasonable suggestion for everyday person to make positive changes in their lives, and by doing it in such manner, it will have a better effect on people and thus, create more positive change. 2 Summary and Respond to Michael Pollan”Escape From The
  • 5. Western Diet” The Undertow of Nutritionism is Powerful Marvellous S Surajudeen Department of English, ivytech community college English 111 OFH Proffesior Scott A Cook February 10th 2021 Summary and Respond to Michael Pollan “Escape From The Western Diet” The Undertow of Nutritionism is Powerful In “Escape from the Western Diet” by Michael Pollan, the author summarizes that much nutrition science qualifies as reductionist science, focusing as it does on individual nutrient rather than whole food or dietary pattern. The author further explained clearly that the effort of the reductionist science is the right measure to try to figure out what Is wrong with the western diet. He describes insightfully that using this sort to try to figure out what is wrong with the western diet is totally unavoidable but he complains stingingly that such measures is however imperfect. Pollan mention that such acts satisfy our hunger for simple, one nutrient explanation and he warned not to mistake them for the whole truth or to let any one of them dictate the way you eat.(Pollan,2008,p.624) The author contends shrewdly that the lipid hypothesis cannot be reconcile with the carbohydrate hypothesis and that a deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids and this often results to for
  • 6. many chronic illness and theory that refines carbohydrates are the keys. Furthermore the author added that while everyone can agree that the flood of refined carbohydrate has pushed important micronutrients out of the modern diet. He further explains that the scientist that blame our health problem on deficiency of this micronutrient are not the same scientist who see a sugar-soaked diet leading to metabolic syndrome and from there to diabetes and cancer. Pollan raised a good point on such critics of the lipid hypothesis embracing the carbohydrate hypothesis with the same absolutist zeal that they ones condemned in the Fat Boys. He mention what he did during the courses of his research, he mention that he was warned by the scientist allied with the carbohydrate camp not to “fall under the spell of omega-3 cult” (Pollan,2008,p.625) cult? He added that there are a lot more religion science than you might expect. To Denis Burkett, the English doctor stationed to Africa during World War II who gave the western diseases their name explain insightfully that the answer seemed straightforward, if daunting “The only way we’re going to reduces diseases “ he said is to go backwards to the lifestyle of our ancestors”(Pollan,2008.p.627). Furthermore he added that the we should not worrying about nutrients but we should avoid sort of food that have been processed to such an extent, he opined that it is more of the product of the industry than that of nature. Consequently Gyorgy Scrinis, who coined the term “Nutrionism” explains clearly that the most important part of any food is not its nutrient content but its degree of processing (Pollan,2008,p.625). Pollan’s explains that to plot our way out of western diet is not going to easy, but he’s so sure it can be done only if we follow the rule. He explains clearly in the course of his research he developed some straightforward rules of thumb, and personal eating policies that can point us in the right direction but he elucidates respectfully that he wasn’t trying to dictates anyone’s
  • 7. menu but he wants us to eat healthy and when we think about Food and Health we will think about nutritionist terms -about our personal physical health and how the ingestion of this particular nutrients or rejection of that affect it.(Pollan,2008.p.628). “The undertow of Nutrionism is powerful”(Pollan,2008,p.624). The author describes insightfully how nutrition and nutritionist are to be cheaply blame for all the chronic illness and diseases among the western people and he states the hypothesis at which is based upon. He opined that in the Walter Willet responded to the critics who asked him why Nurses’ health study didn’t study the benefits of more alternate diets, he responded that “people don’t want to go there”(Pollan,2008,p.625). He furthermore describes that then we’ll know things has changed when doctors kick the fast food franchised out of the hospital. [I’d like to propose a toast] thee rules- “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants”(Pollan,2008,p.631). Pollan’s proposed some practical ways to separate, and defend, real from the cascade of foodlike product that now surround and confound us mostly the supermarket. He affirm and specifically dwell on “Mostly Plants” so as help us sort which product to avoid and the best type of food we should all eat which is mostly fruits and vegetables and shift the focus from this to “Not too Much” he suggested that how often do you eat them and the manner, mores and habits that goes along with eating healthy. The essay by Michael Pollan titled “Escaped From The Western Diet” is interesting and insightful to read, and I found most of the point raised resonated with my own experiences and made me think of his idea for several days giving me insight about how I could have better responded when I got to eat when I checked mostly food items bought at the supermarket. 2 Obesity the silent killer
  • 8. Analysis of the Article .Escape from the Western Diet by Michael Pollan, Olga Khazan Why don’t convenience stores sell Better Food Michael H. Freedman, How junk food can end Obesity Obesity the silent killer Marvellous Surajudeen Department of English, Ivy-tech community college English 111 OFH Professor Scott Cook February 21, 2021 Obe In the ancient time it is known to us by the story we heard that our forefathers only feeds on mostly plant and the author Michael pollan said the same thing. He said to ease the effects of food problem, we should go ecological and use cultural approach. To Dennis Burkett, the English doctor stationed in Africa during world war 11 who gave the western diseases their name, the answer seemed daunting . “The only way we’re going reduce diseases” he said “is to go backwards to the diet and lifestyle of our ancestors”.(Pollan, 2013,p.645) This is only the way forward of death the Americans goes through all because of obesity. This is the healthiest ways to live in our society today. The author Olga Khazan only give his support to eating fruit related as food. Khazan argument gives reason why Americans does gives options to eating fruit as food, he said some have neighborhood that suffer from lack of access to cheap, easy , and healthful options. In such community sickness and death race will be so high as a result of junk food consumption rate within that
  • 9. neighborhood. The author David H. Freedman argues about the only thing making the American people fat is salt and sugar. The only trace to people sudden death or their strictly chronic diseases is the fact that the substance of things consume is unhealthy. David H. Freedman said “The food they’re cooking is making people sick” (Freedman,2013,p.684).It is one of the reasons that we have obesity and diabetes epidemics that we have we do. If you’re going to let industries decide how much salt, sugar and fat is in your food, they’re going to put [in] as much as they possibly can. They will push those button until we scream or die”. The choice we have to replace Big food’s engineered , edible evil- through public education and regulation-with fresh, unprocessed, local, seasonal, real food. The author knows that the end result of eating the junk food is not going to be good for all of us, the only option that we have is to star eating real food at this stage of our life. The author Michael pollan agree with what Freedman said. Pollan too suggest that people eating western diet are prone to a complex of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer that seldom trike, people eating more traditional diets. The author Olga Khazan didn’t in support with what pollan said, khazan said the reducing obesity shouldn’t be the goal, not an immediate one. He said other than weight loss, there are plenty of advantages of eating well, like preventing some forms of cancer. The author point out that encouraging people to eat good so as to prevent chronic diseases should be the best goal rather that forcing people to shed weight. Khazan quotes Mike Curtin, who says of the Healthy corners program, “This is not going to end obesity, or diabetes. It’s naïve to think that’s the case. People will avail themselves of this food , but people are still going to eat junk food the author pointed out that organic grocery store is still selling brownies, the author urging that people are to encourage to stop the eating of junk food and the junk food are so convenient for them to get and to eat and even the author David Freedman said that an
  • 10. enormous amount of media space has been dedicated to promoting the notion that all process food, and only process food is making us sickly and overweight(Freedman,2013,p.685). The author summarized that the process at which all the junk food we eat is addicted with fat, sugar and salt which are causing a lot of damages to our body system and this are contributing to obesity crisis. The result of eating junk food can not be shunned or erased. In conclusion the authors Michael Pollan,, Olga Khazan and David H, Freedman made up their point on the important of eating healthy and the factors that causes the food scarcity and the risk involved in failure to eat healthily. Obesity is a silent killer thereby should be no more. The effect of this junk food is more greater than their benefit. Pollan said [I’d like to propose] three rules- “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants”. The author suggests the best way to live healthy and live longer than living ones life in sickness or sudden death. References
