7. WORKS: Automation - Lenze C300 Human-Machine Interface
Hardware platform developed based on the TI Sitara AM3872
processor. Windows Embedded Compact (WEC) 7.0 BSP for TI Sitara
AM3872 adapted for specific hardware.
Hardware and software implementation meets the specialized
MicroPLC requirements, which allow to use the system for automation
of industrial processes.
8. WORKS: Automation - Gas pipelines control
Software development and technical support for measuring and
control devices. Devices are measuring volume and quality of gas
(physical and chemical characteristics). Software platform testing
and review.
Engineering challenges were solved:
Development of Drivers for measuring devices, as a part of data
collection module. The challenge was to integrate our drivers into
the complex module software.

internal protocols of measuring devices.

9. WORKS: 2D and 3D Laser Scanners Development
2D and 3D quality control laser scanners used at production
automation and workpiece processing for welding and
joining in the automotive industry.
Processor module, CMOS sensor board development.
Development, testing and porting of algorithms for image
filtering, detecting useful signals for further processing and
calculating of scanned profile from laser system to DSP
processors (Texas Instruments C64x+, Analog Devices
BlackFin), FPGAs (Xilinx Spartan 6, Altera Cyclone 3).
10. WORKS: Optical Quality Control System
Optoelectronic system for 3D scanning, measuring height and micro
assemblies linear CCD sizes. Control is carried out using drivers by the
movement of a given position. The position of the scanning beam is
controlled by the driver due to the included in the feedback of the two
raster-type sensors with accuracy in determining the position of +/-0.5
microns. Driver moves the scanning 2D scanner as X and Y. In the end
points of the platform set limit switches to avoid increased loads on the
driver when jamming of the screw.
Software controls scanning process, provides interpretation and
converts the data to a set of spatial coordinates. Software structure
includes calculator that allows to carry out the necessary calculations
to measure the height, size and position of linear CCD micro
assemblies. The intuitive user interface enables quick scanning and
processing of the data. Measurement accuracy is +/-0.5 microns,
measurement range is 250x500x40 mm.
11. WORKS: Machine Vision System
Machine vision system was implemented for the system for optical
quality control of technological processes. Solution includes hardware
and software modules for the machine vision camera.
SoC OMAP3530 is used as the main computer. LUPA-300 with 250 Hz
frame rate is used as the optical sensor.
12. WORKS: DSP Algorithms for Automatic Sorting
Implemented digital image processing algorithm that finds any possible
defects of veneer sheets - holes, dark stains, uneven edges etc..
Veneer sheets are sorted on the line on the basis of defect types and
frequency.
