services wherever and whenever desired.In this
presentation we will be mostly dealing with the
Sensor’s information management mechanism
for context aware services

the development of distributed applications.

we employ a SIM module to solve interference or
conflict within sensed information. In the processing
procedure of sensed information, the issue of
preliminary service tuning of the conflict occurrence
within sensed information is possible.They are -
● Same attribute information from sensor nodes
● Dynamic variation of the sensor node
environment.
● Different environment information fron the
same sensor node.
● Standard deviation and standard error
between sensing information with respect to
the information aggregation.
9. Sensor Information Management
Mechanism(SIM)
If the position of the sensor that senses
temperature in one cell is different each sensor
transmits different information according to the
surrounding environment, such as radiant
heat,time and intensity of light. If devices such
as heaters and air conditioners are controlled by
this sensed information, it may create services
that do not match the user’s intentions.
Therefore, the sensor system requires a Sensor
Information Management Mechanism
10. Sensed information Managing Algorithm
The SIM resolve conflict that might occur using
a priority-based mechanism because, each node
has a priority associated with it.
The SIM module consists of
● an information aggregation function.
● an information classification function.
● an information decision function.
11. Applications of the SIM services
● SIM can be applied to user location tracking system which is based
on Active-Bat location sensor technologies for home appliance
control, in combination with home environment sensor nodes.
● The location tracking service is a designed to displays user’s
location using 3D home map, which accuracy is confirmed to be
within 3cm, this accuracy error is corrected by SIM algorithm.
● In intelligent appliance control system, the sensor coordinates
retrieve information from relevant sensor nodes, and then stores the
information in the SIB. SIM analysis and determine the optimal
context information using the SIB based decision algorithm.
