Identifying Critical Spare parts for the equipments by referring the Vendor Catalogues,
surfing the Internet, P&IDs, Drawings or liaising with the supplier or manufacturer.
If the required documents were not available, travel to Shell’s offshore platforms to
perform physical verification and collect the data like Manufacturer, Model, Size and
Serial numbers from the name plates of the equipments like Relief Valves, Actuators,
Control Valves, Transmitters, Generator, Compressors, Gear Boxes, etc.
Send the collected data and liaise with the vendor for receiving the critical spares for
the relevant equipments.
Verify whether the identified spares are present already in the Material Master in SAP
R3. If the spares exist, it can be directly used for BOM creation in SAP.
If the spares are not present, prepare a material request with complete buying
description following the EP-Blueprint procedures in Shell’s Excel format and submit
to Data Standardization Org. (DSO) team.
Receiving the Materials number from DSO team once the spares are created in SAP.
Creating the Equipment Master in SAP/R3 PM-Module, providing assemblies and sub-
assemblies at necessary hierarchical levels.
Finally assign the Critical spare parts to the Sub-Assemblies by associating the
material number from Material Master to the sub-assemblies; there by creating a
Constructional type BOM.
Material BOMs will be created for equipments wherever suitably required.
Text BOMs will be created for equipments for which construction type BOM cannot be
created.

Project Title : Asset Verification & prepare PM
Role : CMMS Engineer
Asset Verification
Reviewing the Asset Master, identify the duplicates and eliminate them.
Physical verification at platform against the master list and identify the: -
Removed assets and Newly replaced assets.
New Asset present at platform but not taken in to system.
Red line marking of the P&ID diagrams, the equipments falling under the above three
categories.
Updating in the status of equipments in the Asset Register and creating new Assets
wherever necessary.
Populating Asset data in the systems by liaising with the vendors and supplier,
browsing manufacture websites, referring documents drawing, and data collected
during physical verification at platforms.

Identifying the equipments for which task list doesn’t exist and list down the new
