2. SCM-Job Profile in brief:
• Receiving Preliminary BOM from the Customer/Sales for getting Costing & Submit the coasted
BOM to Mgmt esply for defense,Avioncs & Commercial customers(ALL DRDO Labs Like,
DLRL,LRDR,DRDL,RCI,ADE,NPOL, EDAS/Airbus,BIAL/MIAL etc) .
• Check with the customer, if there is any non-clarity in Part numbers.
• Finding source to purchase all the components from Manufacturer’s, Distributors & Traders.
• If any MOQ or Lead time issue for the actual part, Get back to customer & suggest alternate part
numbers & confirmation.
• Once found the source for all the parts in the BOM,RFQ/ Negotiation , Placing PO, Follow up, Co-
ordination with Logistics, Stores Up to Payments need to be taken care..
• Vendor followup for the ordered parts. Keep on checking for the intime delivery of all parts. Making
schedule for assembly and dispatch of the boards.
• Once started the procurement, weekly twice update to the customer about ETA dates of all parts,
thru Tracker in Excel format will have all the Infos inclusive of BOM, Initial Quote, Action Item
etc.Using this Tracker we can keep on note the difference between running project cost and the
Initial quote which was approved by customer.
• Followup with assembly house(EMS) for the intime delivery to customer.
• Deliver the assembled & Integrated Systems & boards to the customer
with,Mechanical/ESS/AT/QT, if any as committed & Get back the feedback from the customer.
Share with the respective departments.
• For Capex Projects Need to Ensure 100% Process/Bidding Compliance, Competitive Quote
Verifications, Negotiation, Contract & NDA Mgmt etc. Ultmatley to deliver the product
ontime with cost effective way, without compromising Quality of product/Service.
