 Strain is defines as the emotional and physical strain caused by a persons
response to pressure from the outside world.
 It occurs when there is a mismatch between the people aspire to do what they
are capable of doing.
What is stress… ???
Positive stress, called EUSTRESS – This stress helps us
to fight challenges and grow.
Negative stress, called DISTRESS – This stress
deplete our energy and destroy our life.

What is YOGA…???
 Yoga is Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which,
including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption
of specific bodily postures, is widely practised for health and
relaxation.
 Derived from Sanskrit word “yuj”, yoga means union of
individual consciousness or soul with the universal
consciousness or spirit.
Eight limbs of Yoga
 Yama (universal morality)
 Niyama (Personal observance)
 Aasan (Body Postures)
 Pranayam (Breathing exercise)
 Pratyahara (Control of senses)
 Dharna (Concentration)
 Dhyana (Devotion, Meditation)
 Samadhi (Union with the Divine)
Benefits of Yoga
 Improved respiration, energy and vitality
 Maintaining a balanced metabolism
 Cardio and circulatory health
 Mental health improvement
 Increase muscle strength
