1. Actors, Costumes and Props
Actors
For my music video, I will require two actors, one male and one female.
My male actor will be Elliot. He will play the main role. It
is his dream him and the audience fall into and he is the one performing. I chose
Elliot as he is a young adult who is into pop music and recognises popular trends
in the media. He is very helpful and confident which will hopefully give my music
video a overall better and more natural outcome.
For my female actress, I will use Ellena. She will play a
passive role of the girl Elliot sees on the beach and falls in love with. She will
feature in his dream as well as walking along the beach. Ellena is a very trendy
teenager who follows many popular patterns in society. She is aware of what is
fashionable and not. Using a young fashionable girl in my music video will relate
to my audience more, as my target audience is young adults who are into pop
culture and pop music.

2. As well as my two actors, I will need to use a dog for Ellena to walk. I have
chosen Bennie as he is a very well trained dog who wont be a problem when it
comes to filming.
Costumes
Elliot
When researching into male pop stars and what they wear, I found it was very
basic. They stick to play coloured t-shirts and black jeans (often ripped). I can
also see that big designer trainers are also very fashionable. Doing this
research has made it clear that Elliot needs to wear a plain t-shirt with black
skinny jeans and designer trainers, just like the pop stars do. I have also
found that male pop stars have very well groomed haircuts. It is evident they
take care in their appearance. I can see in this photo of Justin Timberlake that

3. he has brushed and gelled back his hair and shaped his facial hair. For my
music video, I will brush and gel back Elliot’s hair, trim and shape his facial
hair and tidy his hair up to show he has taken care in his appearance. By
doing this he will reflect the popular trends in his appearance, just like the
target audience do by following popular fashions.
Ellena
It is very evident that the recent popular fashion trend includes tank
tops/revealing tops, ripped jeans and high heels. It would be ideal to get Ellena
dressed in ripped jeans and a strappy tank top to fit the popular trend that
modern pop stars have set. However, it would not be practical for Ellena to be
wearing heels on a beach, therefore I will have to do more research into popular
footwear.

Another fashionable footwear that pop stars wear are designer trainers. Vans,
Adidas, Nike and Converse are all very popular. For Ellena to fit the criteria of a
fashionable young adult (like the target audience) I will ask her to wear designer
trainers.

4. Props
- Dog lead for Ellena to hold Bennie with.
- Tennis ball for Elliot and Ellena to throw for Bennie on the beach in Elliot’s
dream.
- Headphones for Elliot to have when walking down the beach outside of his
dream.
- Stones and pebbles to skim across the sea in Elliot’s dream.
- Bench on the beach/cliff top for Ellena and Elliot to sit on in Elliot’s dream.
