1. Muhammad and Menstruations

‫من حضيث أمركم الل إن الل يحب التنوابضين و لُحب المتطهرين‬
They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So
keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are
clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any
manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to
Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.

their menses especially when he is supposed to serve as an example for Muslims* to

specifically stated that Muhammad "used to" act in this way, and did so "whenever

"to fondle" or "to contact"
or "to kiss" or "to embrace"

Allah used this word to mean

So now have sexual relations with them and seek that which Allâh has ordained for

Defiling the Qur'an?
Muslims do not dare touch the Quran in a state of ritual impurity and will often wash
their hands before touching their scripture. And yet Muhammad used to read the
Qur'an on Aisha's lap while she was in menses.
