parents, teachers and foreman to
organize works teams.
• Delivery of the materials, with the
correspondent list for check and
control.
• Once all the materials were in optimal
conditions, they were warehoused and
the community had to take care of it.
• The microprojects constructions
started on June 5th and ended on July
2th.

Phase I – Constructions
– Located in the town of Tuma La Dalia, situated 36 km from Magalpa.
– 131 children of multi grade at the school with 3 teachers.
– The principal entry producing activity of the zone is: Coffe plantation.
– The kindergarden doesn’t have a stable place to funtion (classes are
given in a particular house).
– It has basis energy service and current water, avaible only during some
hours a day.
– To improve the conditions of hygiene in the preparation and consume of
the meals it was necesary a kitchen with ecofogon (ecological fire place)
and molendero (a wooden table used as a pantry). The school didn’t
have this instalations. TNT contributed to relieve this urgent necesity
and realized the donations for the construccions of the structure.
– The limitation is that doesn´t exist the disponibility of the water in the
school, necessary for the consume and preparations of the meals, team
13 of TNT-PMA has provided the school with water captors with their
filters.
– Initiation from the community: they improve the drainage system of the

Benefits of the TNT Projects - Team 13 in Nicaragua
Benefits for the community
In general improves the quality of life in the
communities.
Children receive a warm meal and just cooked,
they feel happier and the attention level is much
higher.
Mothers avoid heavy loads of warm food from their
houses to school and the risk to get respiratory
diseases decreases because the majority of the
houses do not have chimneys.
Adequate storage in the kitchen warehouse avoid
conflict among the members of the community;
because before that the food was storage in their
own houses and people use to think the food could
be eaten for their own consumption.

Children receive a warm meal and just cooked, they feel happier and the attention level is much higher. Mothers avoid heavy loads of warm food from their houses to school and the risk to get respiratory diseases decreases because the majority of the houses do not have chimneys. Adequate storage in the kitchen warehouse avoid conflict among the members of the community; because before that the food was storage in their own houses and people use to think the food could be eaten for their own consumption.
