Univex took steps to allow executives and managers
to authorize documents through mobile phones and
devices, but it wanted to provide more advanced
capabilities. For example, to get an overall operational
view and information such as inventory levels,
managers and executives still needed to be on-site
with laptops or desktop computers to review
staff-prepared data and reports. Getting time-
sensitive information to people serving customers
in countries around the world was overly resource
intensive and limited the ability to make strategic
decisions in the moment and on location.
The company conducted comparative market
research and – along with expert support and
services from SAP to help test and learn about the
software – chose the SAP Analytics Cloud solution.
Now people in roles throughout the organization, in
the field, and in the office can get up-to-date access
to information. Planning, forecasting, trend analysis,
and reporting functionality provide mobile, real-time
visibility and decision-making support with
information on operations, production, and sales.

daily sales and fixed-costs data that is essential for

fulfillment, find process and sales deviations, and
make timely adjustments to meet changing
conditions. Managers can make sure they meet
budget constraints by monitoring their fixed costs.
With SAP Analytics Cloud, Univex reduced its
annual fixed costs compared to previous years
when it did not have the solution. By speeding and
facilitating sales closing and payment processes,
the company is able to negotiate better discounts.
