To be successful in college, students should be on time with assignments by posting and turning work in using a calendar, do college-level work that they are proud to claim as their own, and be able to use the internet for classes and jobs by learning computer functions and how to properly email. The author learned these skills throughout their college career and this class helped ensure they had the necessary abilities to succeed in a four-year college program.
2. Be on time
• Most class assignments are posted ahead of
time to allow you to finish before the due
date.
• Some will take hours to do and you don’t want
to have to do them last minute.
• Have a calendar that you can write down
when you need to post/ turn in assignments
3. Do college level work
• Professors are busy people and they want
people to succeed in class.
• Make sure that you are proud of the work you
turn in and that someone would be happy to
have it associated with them.
4. Be able to use the Internet
• At this point being savvy with computer use is
a requirement for almost all jobs and classes.
• If you don’t know how to use most functions
of a computer take a class or use one at a
library until you can manage.
• Know what and how to email for both
business and personal reasons.
5. Where this was learned
• I would say that all of this has been learned
throughout my college career and that this
class was important for making sure that I had
the skills needed to make it in a four year
college.
