Instant City - a BaMC Challenge: Household P, Spring 1
1. Instant City , a BaMC-Challenge
Household P

Instant City
Household P,
Spring 1
2. - Welcome back to another Installment of Instant City ā a BaMC Challenge. Aw ā look at this bustling Business District, and
only 11 more businesses to go ā so it can be speculated now, what we will do next season? Well, probably more Business
Districts firstā¦ of course, we could have hundreds of Universities by now, but with Servos, Bigfeet and Plantsims, thereās no
point in adding even a single Uni yet, but in time, Robin/Son-1ās current condition from his encounter of the probing kind
might change thatā¦-
3. -ā¦ but now to our current household P, the gardenersā¦ by now, they have 4 bookcases of education in store, all handed
down by the C (and O) household, as well as full inventories, that need a good cleaningā¦-
4. -ā¦ and then usual routine of learning all there isā¦-
7. -ā¦ and finally all skills maxedā¦ hey, you guys are awfully quiet, every other household would have complained by nowā¦-
āOh, we just make like a tree and shut up ā we already know, that you donāt care about us and just want to add more
businesses, so we just roll with itā¦ā
- Not even a little insult? ā
āYou wonāt be able to provoke us, not even with asinine business ideasā¦ā
- Aw manā¦-
8. -ā¦ well perhaps, itās because they have their trees as conversation partners that they come over so balanced in their
viewpointsā¦ lets see if we canā¦well, want to change thatā¦-
9. - So Servo P-4 bought the first business, as he is the one with the earn 100.000 Life time wantā¦-
10. -ā¦ and itās another park element for the Numa Key Park, the Honey Bee Yard! ā
ā Wait, weāre going to have a bee yard ā as a part of a park? Where there are pets and chilā¦ well potential children, but still
ā a bee yard?ā
- Yes why not? ā
āā¦ fineā¦ whateverā¦ weāre not provoked, not at allā¦ā
- Dangā¦-
11. - Okay, before we go any further, the modded object I used for the bee yard is the beehive made by Gwenke ā originally
made by Katy_76 at PCSims and tweaked by the modding group of XPTL279, available here. The beehive will allow you to
harvest two types of honey every 25-27 hours, which you can eat or set up for sale ā unfortunately one of the honeys will
spoil in time ā or directly eat it or kill yourself by angering the bees, which is gladly a non-autonomous interactionā¦ for the
bee yard, I placed 8 hives around the lot, but it will take some time before we have a sufficient amount of honey collected
for saleā¦-
12. -ā¦ and these are the two types, with the orange one being the one that can spoil with green stench and fliesā¦-
13. -ā¦ so since Iā think about having at least 100 samples of honey, with 8 hives all 25-27 hours.. So weāll have to wait about 4
weeks, plenty of time to get Servo P-3ās silver flower badge up to gold and make Servo P-4 earn some money for his lifetime
want by giving finance tipsā¦-
15. -ā¦ and here is the cutest picture I ever saw of a skunk since watching Bambiā¦-
16. -,ā¦ and once we had enough snapdragons, it was time for some additional skillsā¦-
17. -ā¦ and after learning everything there is , Servo P-4 starting raising money againā¦-
18. -ā¦ also Link gave us another example of what a nice evil wizard he can be by raising us to level 1ā¦. Commendable was also
that he was smart enough to not anger the beesā¦-
19. -ā¦ and while you canāt see her here, Vonnie the Good witch also gave us stars and raised our Business to level 2 around
week 4ā¦-
20. -ā¦ and only 15 hours later, Servo P-4 reached his goal of earning 100.000 Simoleons while also walking around every day
collecting honey, so now we have enough to finally start the ārealā businessā¦-
21. -ā¦ rapping for music! Yeah! ā Nah, kidding, we actually started with selling honey, but by now, rapping is a great way to
collect customer starsā¦-
22. -ā¦ and while rising from level 2 to 9 during the last picture, Servo P-1 also did some financial advise giving ā and fulfilled his
LTW of earning 100.000 too! Note: Sims with LTW are good for business, no breakdowns, no amokā¦-
23. -ā¦ and soon, with half of the honey sold, we reached level 10 andā¦ hey! I KNOW YOU!!!! ā
āHuh ā me?ā
ā Yeah, Youāre Josef ā Josef from Elfish piper productionsā āJosef and the Amazing Technicolor Dreampizzaā āvideo ā I saw you over on
Sims99.com before the site closed down ā aw, memoriesā¦and apparently, you took a trip to the tanning studio, Joeā¦ still have these
eating problems and crazy dreams? Switching to honey now? ā
āIā¦ thinkā¦ youāre mistaking me for someone else, Iām notā¦ā
- Hey, look, Ronald ā that is Ronald , right? He wears crazy make-up -and Frenchie ā she had red hair, right? - are over there, too..!-
ā Wah..? Oh no, not againā¦AAAAAAAAAAH! *runsoff*ā
24. -ā¦ and after this bit of nostalgia, and with a fresh badge of honey just collected, we also earned our last Gold Sales Badges ā
tip: if you donāt have a Gold Sales badge yet, queue up several sales interactions and donāt stop them even after the Sim is
already persuaded to buy the stuff ā youāll get a Gold Sales badge in no timeā¦-
25. -ā¦ unfortunately there is no recipe how to get a cash register badge fast, it takes time getting only silver, which is basically
the needed badge to avoid bag-throwing angry customersā¦-
26. -ā¦ but eventually, everything worked out, the last Gold Sales badge was earned, we got successfully rid of all the smelly
honey pots that were already spoiledā¦.
27. -ā¦ so time to buy the next businessā¦-
ā*Ahem* I said originally Iām not complainingā¦ in fact, Iām still not complaining, because the bee yard ā well it works with us
being the gardener household, as bees need flowers, and here are flowers and we are gardenersā¦ so, any chance, that the
next business can be kinda ā¦ garden-related too?ā
- See for yourselfā¦-
28. -ā¦ because as of now, your household is the proud owner of the Numa Key Bank!! ā
āā¦ Bank?ā
- Yes, you know ā the thing where youāll bring your Simoleons for safekeeping, and if the bank goes bankrupt, youāll lose
all of it, because they have to pay their managers firstā¦-
āā¦ do I hear a small grumbling there?ā
- Make it an outraged roar and youāre correctā¦-
29. -ā¦ in any case, the Numa Key Bank is of course a completely different kind of Bank, as it informs its customers in advance
about all transactions via all the brochures, magazines and fliers hanging out in the account area, and of course, our clerks
inform them about every single little detailā¦-
30. -ā¦ and should there still be any questions, the Manager has always an open ear for the customersā¦-
31. -ā¦ and the accountants are working tirelessly to make sure, that money is accumulated, not wastedā¦-
32. -ā¦ and during closing times, if a Sim is in need of money, they can always use our brand-new ATMās to deduct money from
his accountā¦-
āWait ā ATMās?ā
-ā¦ well, it is actually only Arcades, with their features hidden between height-adjustable deco from Freetime and M&Gā¦
but letās pretend itās an ATMā¦-
āThere are modded ATMās aroundā¦ā
-ā¦ Donāt worry, customers who want money can also always access the safeā¦-
33. -ā¦ in fact, the bank builds on a really trustworthy system how to make their clients money instead of wasting it ā by making
it grow from trees! ā
āā¦ you put all our money trees here, you meanā¦ā
- Yes ā originally, I wanted counterfeiting machines for the bank, but thatās a sure way to call in the policeā¦ so money
trees are the safer way, and since you as the P household had already several of themā¦-
āā¦ again, not complainingā¦ the money tree bank makes sense, but honestly, how to come up with that idea is a mystery to
meā¦
- Donāt askā¦ just donāt askā¦-
34. -ā¦ okay, before we started the business, we made one more call to invite a few Servos from the Q householdā¦ who
immediately proved, that even with the deco placed, the Arcade machines can be freely accessedā¦-
35. -ā¦ and then we handed one of them ā Q2 ā over our Bookcases, so that is been taken care off, tooā¦-
36. -ā¦ oh, we also take care of ensuring that our customers get their dividends paid in timeā¦-
37. -ā¦ and Iām happy to announce, that Josef and his amazing techniā¦ well you know who I mean, is really happy about having
an account here, now he can again afford all the junk food he wantsā¦-
38. -ā¦ Yep, things are looking good for the Numa Key Bank, steady rise in money, no financial crisis in sightā¦-
39. -ā¦ though sometimes we have problems with people looking suspiciously over customers shoulders, who are about to
deduct money from their accountā¦-
40. -ā¦ thankfully to our great security installation, the only thing they see seems to be an arcade game flashing over the
screenā¦-
41. -ā¦ yep, things are going well - though sometimes strange things happen - just this week, a member of the Astronomers
household of Instant City came to the bank for a bigger loan, with the idea that in the future, we will build a Business
District on the moon! We didnāt accept immediately, but rather wait for sighting all the papers if that would be a profitable
ventureā¦-
42. -ā¦ in any case, the Numa Key Bank got such good reviews, that we got pricesā¦-
46. -ā¦ yep, a loan! The Professor wanted a loan? Why? Because he is so rich, that the game has started counting him as having
no money at all! So wherever he goes, he always needs to explain, that he canāt buy anythingā¦ perhaps, because there
arenāt any Million Simoleon Notesā¦ well, the bank is always happy to help, so Professor Disc was given a little tip with only a
two-bajillion interest to pay back in time, and then sent of his wayā¦-
47. -ā¦a bit unfortunate, that for the entire time, accountant Serva P-2 started ogling the Professor, to her serov-friends P-2ās
dismayā¦-
48. -ā¦ and when the Professor went back for a second loan, Servo P-2 told him outright, that he first had to pay back his first
one or alternatively start wearing a paper bag over his head every time he comes here, because reasonsā¦ he, P-2 ā
jealous?-
ā Hrmmmmngā¦.!ā
- Iāll take that as a āShut upāā¦-
49. -ā¦ so the Bank continued to grow, money was deducted, invested, loans were given, all that stuffā¦-
50. -ā¦ and then we reached level 10 ā and all without getting bankrupt, see, Real Life Banks? Thatās how it is done! ā
ā Iām pretty sure, that āReal Bankā wonāt learn anything from thisā¦ā
- ā¦ youāre rightā¦ and yet it would be soooo easyā¦-
51. -ā¦ now, after closing the bank down for the weekend, we made some last effort to get even more money into the
accountsā¦-
52. -ā¦ and then start our next investmentā¦-
āAnother business? Okay, after the garden-related bee yard and the bank, while not really garden related, worked on our
money trees, Iām kinda worried, what the next business will be aboutā¦ I expect something completely differentā¦ā
-ā¦ weeelllā¦.-
53. -ā¦ what do you say to this?! ā
āOh myā¦ holy crapā¦is that a ā¦??ā
- Yes, itās a Green House, built on a Patch the same size as the warehouse,ā¦ in fact, even the size is similar to the
warehouseā¦-
54. -ā¦ and inside, several fruit machines are already standing ready to make juice drinks, because that will be what we are
going to sell here!-
āWait ā we sell drinks? But I thought, you canāt sell them, only fruitsā¦ā
- Not with the great hack my Mike_1102 at mts.com that allows to sell juice trays ā¦.-
55. -ā¦ but until we have collected our first fruits and vegetables for the juice, we have to wait a bitā¦ in the meantime, we can
spent time climbing the castaway trees Pescado over at moreawesomethanyou.com converted for the gameā¦-
56. -ā¦ and also collect fruits like mangos and coconuts from there and make them directly into moneyā¦ thankfully, we have
maxed body skills, so we wonāt fall down the trees every timeā¦-
57. -ā¦ and now its time to play the fun game āWhere is green-skinned evil wizard Link in the Greenhouse?ā ā can you spot him?
Can you? Also, Level 1ā¦-
58. -ā¦ and while the evil Link couldnāt not be spotted and stayed lostā¦-
āHEY!ā
-ā¦ plants were sprouting all over the place, needed to be cared for constantly, weeded outā¦-
67. -ā¦ and here it is ā a tray full of deliā¦ disgustiā¦ of boot juiceā¦-
68. -ā¦ and then we finally started our juice businessā¦ or notā¦ because these juice trays consume so much fruits and
vegetables, that it was easier to sell some of the less great fruits first to get the remaining customer starsā¦-
69. -ā¦ thankfully, our customers didnāt mind, giving us the cheaper furniture network perkā¦-
70. -ā¦ or a spike popularity, while we earned our first restocking badgesā¦-
71. -ā¦ until we finally had our level 10 business, just when we were about to sell the really good fruits and veggiesā¦-
72. -ā¦ and instead replaced them with out fruity juice trays, who will now open all the benevolent juice effects ā or bizarre
effects in the case of the boot juice ā to every household who decides to buy hereā¦-
73. -ā¦ and with everything done, it was time return homeā¦-
āHey, that was actually a fun tripā¦ after hearing these stories about the other households doing things completely outside
there are of expertise, I was kinda afraidā¦ā
āMe tooā¦ perhaps he had a change of heart and from now onā¦ā
- Donāt count on it ā you will have your share of out of expertise businesses too one dayā¦-
ā Ā°-Ā°ā
74. -ā¦ so with the rose bouquet mechanic ā which with a gardener household makes sense for onceā¦-
77. -ā¦ we reached the end of this households spring rotation as wellā¦-
78. -ā¦ and with only 8 more businesses, 4 warehouse, 4 park elements, left, this chapter comes to an end as wellā¦ next time,
we will have one more club, another modded object and a business that will sell stuff that sells well but is a hell to collect,
so in case you wanna try out that one, youāve been warnedā¦-
- In the meant time: Happy Simming! -
