BACKROUND
Established in 2012, Sengkhona HSE (Training &
Development) is accredited by the Transport
Education Training Authority of South Africa (TETA)
and all our courses are designed and executed
according to the standards required by Driven
Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health
and Safety Act 85 of 1993 (OHSA).
We are situated in Springs, Gauteng, South Africa.
We offer on - site training and hire training venues
for all our offsite training.
Sengkhona is committed to the establishment,
implementation and maintenance of a formally
documented Quality Management System, which
includes visible and auditable Policies, Standard
Operating Procedures and Review Mechanisms,
based on the defined scope of the company.
The standard of quality expected in the company is
defined and documented in our QMS. By
establishing a flexible and coherent Quality
Management System, the company is confident
that it will be able to assure the consistent high
quality of products and services and achieve its
vision of contributing to the Skills Development in
South Africa.

Sengkhona Medicare also provides a mobile
Occupational Health Medical Surveillance
service, enabling a Medical Certificate of Fitness
to be issued for employees. All services are
conducted in accordance with the OHS Act 85 0f
1993 and are carried out by experienced,
qualified and certified Occupational Health
Practitioners, registered with the South African
Nursing Council (SANC)and the South African
Society of Occupational Health Nursing
Practitioners (SASOHN).

ACREDITED WITH TETA (TRANSPORT EDUCATION TRAINING AUTHORITY) & DEPT. OF LABOUR
Accreditation is a process in which certification of competency, authority, or credibility is presented. The
accreditation process ensures that our certification practices are acceptable and legal, Sengkhona HSE
is competent to test and certify. All assessors and moderators are registered and accredited for the relevant unit
standards as set out by TETA.
Challenges to SMME’s
Safety does not come cheaper to many and this
challenge has seen many SMME’s seeking alternative
ways to bypass safety and yet grow to levels that
require adherence to legislation and by laws.
Unfortunately when it comes to safety there is no
middle ground and we at Sengkhona HSE aim to
reach as many businesses as possible to make them
aware of the reality and benefits of adhering fully to
safety in their workplace.
