1. Format:
Video:
An edited video including a montage of free kicks, a ‘best bits’ of the cross bar challenge and an ‘unbelievable tekkers’
section.
Working Title:
‘Soccer pm’
‘Youth soccer am’ – ‘Best bits’
‘Soccer am – Youth edition’
Genre:
Sport:
My aim is to recreate the ‘soccer am’ show but using my own clips recreated by myself and my brother. Being a
‘soccer’ channel it will be solely based on football.
Content:
The content will be similar to that of a ‘soccer am’ episode. It will feature an introduction, a sequence of clips (a
freekick montage, ‘unbelievable tekkers’ and a crossbar challenge) and possibly and outro. It will basically be a short
version of a mimic ‘soccer am’ show.
Style or Approach:
My video will be in colour apart from the editing of the goal montage that will feature colour correction and black and
white scenes. It will be presented like a usual ‘soccer am’ programme with on screen text and animations. I will use
adobe premiere pro to edit every clip together along with the relevant titles.
Audience:
The audience for my video would be young teenagers from the age of 14 to 30/40 year olds that are into football. This
would appeal to the younger end that are often watching football shows and or want something different to watch but
interesting and sports related. The older generation would be interested if they have children that are into football, or
perhaps coach a local youth squad, and again want something else to watch on a weekend morning perhaps after
match of the day and yet still be sports related.
Length:
The length of the video will be between 5-10 minutes. My aim is to create a short version of my own programme. I will
not be making a full 30min-1hr programme, I will just be showing a preview of the programme maybe a first short
viewing to introduce the audience on what the programme is about and what to look out for.
Legal & Ethical considerations
During the freekick montage and the intro of my programme there will be a music track. This will be taken and copied
from the original artists and will need a classification letter to give me the authority to use the songs.
I will also be using to a variety of animated clips that are shown on the original ‘soccer am’ programme. I will again
have to write a letter of consent asking the producers of ‘soccer am’ if I will be allowed to use their personally designed
animations in my personal project.
I will also make sure there is no abusive language or gestures during the video or explicit choices of music.
