Outcome
Improved and equitable use of safe drinking water,
sanitation and healthy environments, and improved
hygiene practices.
By 2019, the most vulnerable boys, girls and families have
access to appropriate water and sanitation facilities and live in
open-defecation free communities.
Outputs
2.1. Strengthened WASH legal framework, strategic
planning and sectorial budgets at all levels.
2.1. The Government of Angola has increased national capacity
to monitor and implement sustainable WASH services.
2.2. CLTS approach scaled-up to 3 additional provinces
(Huambo, Bengo and Zaire), totalizing 7 provinces, while
providing TA to 6 provinces under government
implementation.
2.2.The Government of Angola has the CLTS National Strategic
Plan by 2019, and local governments implement CLTS
sustainably, as a result of UNICEF’s technical assistance.
2.3. Affected families in priority communities including
affected children have access to safe and secure basic
sanitation, safe water facilities with improved hygiene
behaviour; and contributes to reducing risk and
strengthening resilience.
