2. Halloween
We looked at many films in
our search for inspiration
for our opening sequence
but the one we kept coming
back to was Halloween.
This film inspired the
majority of our main ideas
and its own famous opening
became great inspiration
with its use of a child as the
killer, only revealed at the
end of the opening. This led
us to concoct our initial
themes of feeding through
tiny bits of knowledge on
the killer as the scenes go

3. Woman in Black
We chose to study The Woman in Black
as another inspiration for our final piece.
The inspiration came from the use of
camera angles in this film to create
tension and hints towards another person
being in the house with him. We used
these suggestive camera angles in our
final piece after studying carefully the
film, taking things like the scene with
Arthur Kipps alone in the house and a
shot of a hand going onto the door
window behind him provides a shock of
terror for the audience. We wanted to
recreate this for our own piece and
