I. Endoscope handling
J. Fiber optic cable handling
K. Electrical Safety
3. Clamp the machine on IV Stands
Switch ON the Equipment check for AC
Indication
Check the placement of syringe and set flow rate
Avoid bend in IV tubes
4. Check working condition of the equipment before
using to patient
Use IV stands to clamp the pumps
Clean / wipe If any liquid spillage after usage
Place separately after usage
Charge the pump, If it is used for shifting.
5. Don’t hang pumps on bed side.
Don’t hang saline bottle near by syringe pump
Don’t use 2 pin powerchord
Don’t stick any unwanted stickers or papers
6. Switch ON the Equipment and Observe the working
condition of the ventilator before connecting to
patient.
Basic physical check:
Check AC indication
Air & O2 hose connection (both in pendent/ ventilator back
side)
Flow sensor and patient circuit connection (for any Leakage)
7. Check the power cord of the equipment.
Check the patient circuit for any leakage
Lock the wheel while ventilation
During ventilation, if any Technical error
occur. Disconnect the patient and do
ambulation and call biomedical engineering
department
8. • Do not pull the power cord
• Do not place I.V stand near the ventilator
• Do not place any medicine on the top of
the ventilator
9. Perform Basic check everyday
Do not give more pressure on the defibrillator
paddles during basic check
Clean the paddles after utilizing
Keep the defibrillator in separate trolley
Charge the battery completely after usage
and before shifting
12. Do Put Clip First before sticking
the electrode to patient
Avoid Putting Clip after
sticking Electrode to patient
Replace the disposable electrode after every 24 hours.
18. Hose tube on Brachial artery Wrap the Cuff properly
Cuff should be placed at level of heart & should not be loose
Ensure that the hand is not bent from elbow
19. Press Ring for removal by
ejection Do not pull tubing for removal
20. Proper fixing with tape Do not keep clip loose
Remove the nail polish before putting the Spo2 probe
21. Probe and Cuff should be in
different arms
Do not connect the Probe and
Cuff in same arm
24. Do not use Spirit Cleaning process
Clean all accessories with
a cloth slightly moistened
with Bacillol 25 .
Allow cables to dry
properly before use.
Do not immerse the
cables in any liquid.
25. Use trolley to shift the medical equipment
If any technical faults inform biomedical
department
Enduser complaint form is mandatory for all
breakdown calls.
Exact nature of the problem should be
conveyed to biomedical engineering.
