Characteristics Of A Motivational Speaker
What Are the Qualities of an Effective Motivational Speaker
It takes a great person to be a great motivational speaker. Public speaking is not so hard to attain. You do not need to complete a bachelor's degree
or a special training program to become one of those successful speakers. If you are a person with great stories and unique experiences in life and you
are willing to impart that to your audience, then you can be a great speaker.
Unfortunately, motivational speaking is not for everyone. Even if you have awesome personal stories to share or unique experiences to impart to your
audience, if you do not have the talent to motivate effectively, then this field is not for you. You need to have confidence to inspire and encourage

The process of convincing people to do something or believe in something could be difficult if you do not possess a convincing attitude. It can be
difficult to inspire and encourage a crowd if you are not motivated yourself. Your ability to connect to people and inspire them should come within
yourself first.
Great speakers have already mastered the art of living a motivated life. It is shown in their personal and social relationship. An effective speaker is
someone who practice what they preach. The speech of a non–motivated speaker could sound fake and unconvincing without inner motivation.
Motivational speakers view life positively. They are naturally optimistic about life in general. A great speaker knows how to inspire and encourage
people despite tough times. The best motivational speaker is someone who sees rough situations as motivations instead of discouragements.
You Should Able To Connect
Inner motivation and the need to motivate others can only do so much without the innate capability to connect. The most notable speakers in history,
for instance like Martin Luther King, JFK, Nelson Mandela, to name a few, possessed the power to bond with the crowd, to exude the mood that they
were connected with the people in the room, that they recognized what the audience was

This was said by Joseph Stalin during World War II to describe just how lost one individual can become among the vast millions of individuals within
a society. Individualism is portrayed and received in society in many ways. "Our researchers into Public Opinion are content that he held the proper
opinions for the time of year" (The Unknown Citizen lines 22–23). The Unknown Citizen is highlighting the how much a society's culture can impact
one's individuality. "My morning coat, my collar mounting firmly to the chin, my necktie rich and modest, but asserted by a simple pin – [They will
say: But how his arms and legs are thin!" (The Love Song lines 40–44). This help portray an image of how an individual can be himself within a
society. "He was found by the Bureau of Statistics to be one against whom there was no official complaint" (The Unknown Citizen lines 1–2). This
suggests that society as a whole receives individualism as a statistic and throws people into categories.Individualism is hugely influenced by culture and

A motivational speaker, is someone who delivers speeches to motivate and inspire people. Everyone needs motivation or inspiration in their lives. Either
to motivate them to follow their dreams, not giving up on their goals, and that extra push to encourage better work ethics. Now you may ask how to do
someone fulfilled such an arduous task. Well the answer is simple, communication, there are many different steps to communication. To me the most
important steps are transmitting information, receiving information, and feedback.
Transmitting information is crucial when it comes to motivational speaker. Why? Because you are exchanging information, to your audience that must
be effective and reliable so the audience could relate. The subject that's...show more content...

life without the that knowledge being a motivational speaker you will not be able transmit the infromation you would like to give out to the audience.
Motivation comes in many sources they have to be smart, they have to be open into new things and also have to be able to not judge others. Many
motivational speakers are insparatinal, they have been throught so much in life that they feel that they have to use their voice to tell the world what
they have been throught, maybe that could change the way any body think of themselves, therefore; you might think that you goingt throught
something but you really not, someone else is going through something harder then what you are going throught. It's their job has a motivator to

Motivational Speech In John Winthrop's Speech
1– John Winthrop was a lawyer and leader of the 1630 migration of the Puritans to the Massachusetts Bay Colony. During the trip to New England
aboard the Arbella, Winthrop gave a motivational speech detailing how the society in Massachusetts should function. The speech given by Winthrop
makes many statements about New England but one sentence in specific states "For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon the hill"
(Winthrop 1630, 1). This excerpt of the speech given by Winthrop signifies that the city of New England should be admired by millions around the
world. Winthrop indicates this meaning of the excerpt by giving statements such as "The eyes of all people are upon us" and "Always having before
our own eyes our commission and community in the work" (Winthrop, 1630, 1). Throughout the passage, Winthrop instructs his audience to do good
for the community and not for one's self. Winthrop also gives many religious reasons in order to motivate the listeners to create a society that
functions based on the principles of the Puritan religion. The textual context of the speech given by Winthrop exhibits all the reasons to why the town
should be looked upon. The context in which the speech is given indicates that the meaning of this excerpt is that the city should be looked up to by
people across the world, and should be referred to as an example of a town with virtue.

Essay about Self-Motivation is Empowering
Motivation is a very strong tool we can use to get further in life and to achieve our dreams and goals. Setting goals for ourselves is something that I
consider to be very important, I believe in always pushing myself further and further in life, not only physically but mentally as well. We all have
different things or tools we can use to motivate us towards our end goals. In order for us to stay motivated we have to have a goal and be driven
towards achieving that goal.
For me, self–motivation is empowering. Finding something that I enjoy and love to do and setting the final goal of achieving it. My main goal that I
have set right now is to work towards finishing my degree. My motivation behind this is to be able to get a better job and...show more content...
I am learning to take each assignment and task one at a time. Simply complete what the task at hand is and then move on to the next. I feel by doing
so, I will be able to complete my degree along with knowing that I have faith in myself to push myself and motivate myself along the way.
By going back to school and getting my degree I am opening up potentially lots of doors for myself in the future. I am setting a good example for
my boys and that no matter what age you are, it is never too late to go back to school and further your education. Education is the key to opening
up positions in the workplace that someone without an education would not be able to pursue. The benefits will far out way the time and work that
it will take for me to complete my degree. This will be something that I can be proud of and prove to myself and others that no matter how hard the
goal may seem or how long it may take you to reach the end results, it is always worth it to follow your dreams. I am extremely motivated to
accomplish this goal for myself.
Motivation is the key to succeeding our goals and dreams. You can do anything that you set your mind to as long as you continue to motivate yourself
and others around you. Keeping a positive attitude and having an end goal in mind to work towards, you will be able to find the motivation

The human desires of greed, wealth, and power have been embedded into the world's history as political figures have led invasions of other countries
countless numbers of times. Whether invaded or being invaded, a country requires strong and capable leaders to see them through this difficult time. In
1588, Queen Elizabeth I of England gave a motivational speech to her troops using the rhetorical devices of diction, imagery, and sentence structure to
motivate her subjects positively and to instill the fear of the pending invasion in their hearts.

The mention of her three positions shows her as generous and powerful, causing her troops to respect and admire her. The listing of the three
characteristics of her troops shows her faith in them and infuses in them a determination not to let her down, thus motivating the troops to defend their
homeland. The queen uses imagery as well to motivate her people. She describes herself as having "the body of a weak and feeble woman," but
having "the heart and stomach of a king." By providing them with a mental image, she addresses their concerns of her ability to lead them to victory as
she assures them that her strength may not be physical but instead, mental, emotional, and spiritual, thus encouraging them to trust in her authority. She
also claims that she will "lay down" for the sake of her country. By creating the image of her physically lying down in the name of her country's pride,
the queen convinced her troops of her dedication to the battle.

country from their Spanish invaders. Using the device of diction, she refers to their invaders as "enemies." The use of the word "enemies" serves to
unite the people in the defense of their country. Its use also personifies the Spanish and encourages the people to fight more wholeheartedly against
"enemies." She also says that she was warned of the "treachery" of

Most everyone has been on a sports team, or has a concept of what happens before a game in higher age athletics. Perhaps you don't have any
concept of either, but just really enjoy listening to others speak to help you feel motivated to do something. That was my exact genre, motivational
speeches, specifically in athletics. These two are different in their own ways, but their message is always the same. What exactly makes a
motivational speech so emotionally changing? Is there any kind of rhyme or reason to how they are words are spoken or is it just a natural talent of
the speaker to be truly motivational?
Reading Wardle's piece on "Writing in New Workplaces" made me think of common workplaces like coffee shops and big businesses, however,
depending on who you talk to, playing sports is a workplace, and we all have to be able to communicate. In this specific case I'm talking about
motivation, but there are plenty of other types of communication that occur when playing sports. If a sports team is a new atmosphere for you, you
probably won't be the one standing up in front of the whole team trying to get them to all come together for a common cause. You'd most likely just

Julie Sanders's Motivational Speech
Fellow classmates, the teacher we should be taking on our lifeboat to aid us in our travels is Julie Sanders. Why should we allow her to join us

jacket, tattered and soiled, can give the most motivational speech we've ever witnessed. Towards the end of her speech involving several personal
anecdotes such as the many students she has taught in her eight years at Belle Chase and three years at Lusher who have went on in life to become

I enjoyed reading the motivational war speech from "Henry V" by William Shakespeare, because it is a fantastic speech full of eloquent language that
motivated a great victory. Shakespeare is one of my favorite authors because of his literary genius. Throughout his plays, he uses vivid and powerful
language to illustrate the events of the play. In the context of the speech, king Henry V stares death in the face as he leads an army unprepared to fight
the better equipped, and much larger French army. When Henry overhears a soldier expressing his feelings of dismay, he delivers a motivational
speech about glory, honor, and brotherhood.
My favorite aspect about Shakespeare is that he never simply "tells" the reader what is happening. Instead,

These were the few lines of my declamation piece. And these few lines are the only lines that my teacher let me perform. I was shocked when she

Essay on Inspirational Graduation Speech
Ok, its 12:15 and I just walked into my house from seeing a movie with three of my best friends and I have to write this speech. A speech that's
suppose to inspire all of you, and tell you how the future has so much to hold for the class of 2015, how the possibilities are endless. Right now I'm
probably standing in the front of the class and supposed to be addressing all of you as "fellow graduates, or to the class of 15'". But that's not what I'm
going to do. I put this off as I do with the majority of my work thinking I would just write something everyone expects to hear, but instead I wrote this.

No one has the memories I have, they're mine. No one can tell the stories I've told or been where I've been. Just me. But for you, it's exactly the
same. I've never been perfect nor will I ever claim to be, I just get by. But for me, that's what it's all about.
If you've asked me in the past if I'm nervous to move on, nervous to leave this place I most likely put on a stern exterior, one of certainty and
readiness. The truth is, I'm going to miss being here. No matter how many times I wasn't in class, no matter how many fights I've been in with my
friends and family I will never, not for a moment look past this town. It's more than a town, it's who we are. We're all going away in three months
give or take, but a part of us will always be here.
If you ever hear someone mutter "jazzy" in a bar your going to think of Yags, you ever watch a movie with any type of high school theme for the rest
of your lives your going to be right back here, forcing your way down the A wing in–between periods. Never forget where you came from, and never
take for granted what you have right now. For the next three months we're invincible! No one can stop you! Get into trouble, go out have fun and be an
eighteen year old! Stay a high school student, not a lawyer in training. You can do whatever you want with yourselves in the future, but don't worry
about that right now. We've all gotten this far. Go out, have fun with your friends. Stuff yourselves into that basement, or garage or

Motivational Speech Rhetorical Analysis
The speech I am analyzing was given by Jon Bowers, a UPS driving and delivery trainer, in Atlanta Georgia in July 2017. Bowers was giving a
motivational speech on why we should aim for perfection and not fear failure. He was giving this speech to an audience of listeners at a TED
convention. The audience appears to be composed of a wide variety of age groups from multiple different backgrounds. The audience likely already
had interest in the subject matter as they chose to attend speech knowing what it was about. The audience is rather large and likely contains several
hundred people. The target audience is unclear as the topic is so broad that it can apply to basically anyone. The speaker is clearly intending to
motivate the audience to achieve higher. This is clear as the entirety of the speech is dedicated to him trying to motivate everyone to shoot for
perfection and stop fearing failure. The speech opens by asking a rhetorical question, "Have you ever heard of typo–squatting?, he then informs the
audience on the subject. He does this because typo–squatting is a practice in which companies buy adds on websites that have very similar web
addresses to popular websites in other words they are betting on you not being perfect and making typos when working online. This allows him to
transition into the main topics of the speech which are perfection and failure. It is a decently memorable introduction as the question piques your
curiosity, and then he secures your attention

To grab my audience`s attention I could start by stating my own experiences and then back that up with a credible source of fact or testimony. To

will try to establish guilt here and make them feel personally connected for not reaching out to local farmers in the area to support and get to know

agriculture around your community or attend a local farmer`s market." (Not exact wording but the general point should come across to you.) I can

of animals. For the action step, I will promote donating to the Global Animal Health partnership and at the very least sending them a message to just
thank them for their efforts in working to educate the public and provide a safe product to consumers. I will do this by e–mailing them all a link that

Persuasive Essay On Success
Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but
to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the
requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it
changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because
only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages itsaudience to think differently about wanting to be successful
and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative,
and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise
repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is

are willing to work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive.

Denzel Washington Make A Difference Speech
As Denzel Washington stood before the graduates of Dillard University at their commencement ceremony, he sees an opportunity to encourage them of
future success through his "Make a Difference" speech. Having been a student himself, he speaks to them of possible failures and greater prosperities.
The speaker wants to be a relatable example, as well as a guide for all the graduates that he is standing before. Throughout this speech, Washington
efficiently utilizes diction, tone, and repetition to appeal to the graduates and encourage them to dream.
Standing on the stage, Washington provides uplifting words as these students move on to greater things. He uses words such as "dream", "aspire" and
"success" (Washington), to provide motivation...show more content...
The inclusion of himself as an example reassures the audience that there's much more to come and that after the difficulties, opportunities always
rise as he has gone through the same struggles that they might be facing at this time. He does not want them to worry as typically not all students
have a job right as they graduate, some may even need a graduate degree. Moving on through the speech, his tone changes to passionate. He
instructed to "Fail big... You only live once, so do what you feel passionate about, take chances professionally" (Washington). This is where he
instructs to make big mistakes but to only grow from them and dare to do things differently. It may seem completely controversial to advise them of
failing, however, through his experience, he realizes that it takes unpredictable failure to lead to success. Near the end, he revives encouragement,
especially to be unique as "The only way to do it was to go outside the box," (Washington), meaning that exploring new means of achieving greatness
is not wrong. These tone shifts are quite essential as they help build up onto the students' emotions and make the speech more lively and applicable to
daily life.
Washington supports a dissimilar way of thinking and creating a new world rather than continuing to live carelessly in the old one. He demonstrates
this through the implication of repetition. He uses this device in order to emphasize on certain parts which are crucial in justifying his point of

this process is have a place to store your quotes, you can pick up a collection of quotes or you can choose your favorites from any number of
sources including online. Once you have the quotes that you would like to use you should have a journal or a personal calendar or even index cards
(whichever you prefer) and begin to write out each of the quotes. Each day, at least once a day but preferably several times or more you will

Queen Elizabeth's Fiery Speech Inspires Troops

  • 1. Characteristics Of A Motivational Speaker What Are the Qualities of an Effective Motivational Speaker It takes a great person to be a great motivational speaker. Public speaking is not so hard to attain. You do not need to complete a bachelor's degree or a special training program to become one of those successful speakers. If you are a person with great stories and unique experiences in life and you are willing to impart that to your audience, then you can be a great speaker. Unfortunately, motivational speaking is not for everyone. Even if you have awesome personal stories to share or unique experiences to impart to your audience, if you do not have the talent to motivate effectively, then this field is not for you. You need to have confidence to inspire and encourage people....show more content... The process of convincing people to do something or believe in something could be difficult if you do not possess a convincing attitude. It can be difficult to inspire and encourage a crowd if you are not motivated yourself. Your ability to connect to people and inspire them should come within yourself first. Great speakers have already mastered the art of living a motivated life. It is shown in their personal and social relationship. An effective speaker is someone who practice what they preach. The speech of a non–motivated speaker could sound fake and unconvincing without inner motivation. Motivational speakers view life positively. They are naturally optimistic about life in general. A great speaker knows how to inspire and encourage people despite tough times. The best motivational speaker is someone who sees rough situations as motivations instead of discouragements. You Should Able To Connect Inner motivation and the need to motivate others can only do so much without the innate capability to connect. The most notable speakers in history, for instance like Martin Luther King, JFK, Nelson Mandela, to name a few, possessed the power to bond with the crowd, to exude the mood that they were connected with the people in the room, that they recognized what the audience was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This was said by Joseph Stalin during World War II to describe just how lost one individual can become among the vast millions of individuals within a society. Individualism is portrayed and received in society in many ways. "Our researchers into Public Opinion are content that he held the proper opinions for the time of year" (The Unknown Citizen lines 22–23). The Unknown Citizen is highlighting the how much a society's culture can impact one's individuality. "My morning coat, my collar mounting firmly to the chin, my necktie rich and modest, but asserted by a simple pin – [They will say: But how his arms and legs are thin!" (The Love Song lines 40–44). This help portray an image of how an individual can be himself within a society. "He was found by the Bureau of Statistics to be one against whom there was no official complaint" (The Unknown Citizen lines 1–2). Either to motivate them to follow their dreams, not giving up on their goals, and that extra push to encourage better work ethics. Now you may ask how to do someone fulfilled such an arduous task. Well the answer is simple, communication, there are many different steps to communication. To me the most important steps are transmitting information, receiving information, and feedback. Transmitting information is crucial when it comes to motivational speaker. Why? Because you are exchanging information, to your audience that must be effective and reliable so the audience could relate. The subject that's...show more content... • 4. Motivational Speech In John Winthrop's Speech 1– John Winthrop was a lawyer and leader of the 1630 migration of the Puritans to the Massachusetts Bay Colony. During the trip to New England aboard the Arbella, Winthrop gave a motivational speech detailing how the society in Massachusetts should function. The speech given by Winthrop makes many statements about New England but one sentence in specific states "For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon the hill" (Winthrop 1630, 1). This excerpt of the speech given by Winthrop signifies that the city of New England should be admired by millions around the world. Winthrop indicates this meaning of the excerpt by giving statements such as "The eyes of all people are upon us" and "Always having before our own eyes our commission and community in the work" (Winthrop, 1630, 1). Throughout the passage, Winthrop instructs his audience to do good for the community and not for one's self. Winthrop also gives many religious reasons in order to motivate the listeners to create a society that functions based on the principles of the Puritan religion. The textual context of the speech given by Winthrop exhibits all the reasons to why the town should be looked upon. The context in which the speech is given indicates that the meaning of this excerpt is that the city should be looked up to by people across the world, and should be referred to as an example of a town with virtue. 2– Metacomet, also known as King Phillip, was one of the many natives that started feuding with the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Setting goals for ourselves is something that I consider to be very important, I believe in always pushing myself further and further in life, not only physically but mentally as well. We all have different things or tools we can use to motivate us towards our end goals. In order for us to stay motivated we have to have a goal and be driven towards achieving that goal. By going back to school and getting my degree I am opening up potentially lots of doors for myself in the future. I am setting a good example for my boys and that no matter what age you are, it is never too late to go back to school and further your education. Education is the key to opening up positions in the workplace that someone without an education would not be able to pursue. The benefits will far out way the time and work that it will take for me to complete my degree. This will be something that I can be proud of and prove to myself and others that no matter how hard the goal may seem or how long it may take you to reach the end results, it is always worth it to follow your dreams. I am extremely motivated to accomplish this goal for myself. Motivation is the key to succeeding our goals and dreams. Whether invaded or being invaded, a country requires strong and capable leaders to see them through this difficult time. The listing of the three characteristics of her troops shows her faith in them and infuses in them a determination not to let her down, thus motivating the troops to defend their homeland. The queen uses imagery as well to motivate her people. She describes herself as having "the body of a weak and feeble woman," but having "the heart and stomach of a king." By providing them with a mental image, she addresses their concerns of her ability to lead them to victory as she assures them that her strength may not be physical but instead, mental, emotional, and spiritual, thus encouraging them to trust in her authority. She also claims that she will "lay down" for the sake of her country. By creating the image of her physically lying down in the name of her country's pride, the queen convinced her troops of her dedication to the battle. <br> <br>The queen also uses diction, sentence structure, and imagery with negative connotations in her effort to motivate her people to defend their country from their Spanish invaders. Using the device of diction, she refers to their invaders as "enemies." The use of the word "enemies" serves to unite the people in the defense of their country. • 7. Most everyone has been on a sports team, or has a concept of what happens before a game in higher age athletics. Perhaps you don't have any concept of either, but just really enjoy listening to others speak to help you feel motivated to do something. That was my exact genre, motivational speeches, specifically in athletics. These two are different in their own ways, but their message is always the same. What exactly makes a motivational speech so emotionally changing? Is there any kind of rhyme or reason to how they are words are spoken or is it just a natural talent of the speaker to be truly motivational? Reading Wardle's piece on "Writing in New Workplaces" made me think of common workplaces like coffee shops and big businesses, however, depending on who you talk to, playing sports is a workplace, and we all have to be able to communicate. In this specific case I'm talking about motivation, but there are plenty of other types of communication that occur when playing sports. If a sports team is a new atmosphere for you, you probably won't be the one standing up in front of the whole team trying to get them to all come together for a common cause. You'd most likely just leave that to the guys that have been here longer or to Strenkert 2 the coaches. Coaches don't quite get the same luxury unfortunately. If you're a coach coming to a new work place you have to be ready to inspire your team to go out and put forth their best effort. Chances are though that coaches will Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Shakespeare is one of my favorite authors because of his literary genius. Throughout his plays, he uses vivid and powerful language to illustrate the events of the play. In the context of the speech, king Henry V stares death in the face as he leads an army unprepared to fight the better equipped, and much larger French army. When Henry overhears a soldier expressing his feelings of dismay, he delivers a motivational speech about glory, honor, and brotherhood. My favorite aspect about Shakespeare is that he never simply "tells" the reader what is happening. Instead, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Please let me go, let me go home before you imprisoned me." These were the few lines of my declamation piece. And these few lines are the only lines that my teacher let me perform. I was shocked when she said: okay, you're done, sit down, you have your grade. When I look at my paper, my grade is 94. I was thinking then, how she gave me that grade already without even...show more content... Therefore, BSA students, we must not think that we can't make it through, because we must do. • 14. Essay on Inspirational Graduation Speech Ok, its 12:15 and I just walked into my house from seeing a movie with three of my best friends and I have to write this speech. A speech that's suppose to inspire all of you, and tell you how the future has so much to hold for the class of 2015, how the possibilities are endless. Right now I'm probably standing in the front of the class and supposed to be addressing all of you as "fellow graduates, or to the class of 15'". But that's not what I'm going to do. I put this off as I do with the majority of my work thinking I would just write something everyone expects to hear, but instead I wrote this. I'm not going to tell you to go on and do well, become the doctors and lawyers and teachers of tomorrow. This isn't a speech to tell you...show more content... No one has the memories I have, they're mine. No one can tell the stories I've told or been where I've been. Just me. But for you, it's exactly the same. I've never been perfect nor will I ever claim to be, I just get by. But for me, that's what it's all about. If you've asked me in the past if I'm nervous to move on, nervous to leave this place I most likely put on a stern exterior, one of certainty and readiness. The truth is, I'm going to miss being here. No matter how many times I wasn't in class, no matter how many fights I've been in with my friends and family I will never, not for a moment look past this town. It's more than a town, it's who we are. We're all going away in three months give or take, but a part of us will always be here. If you ever hear someone mutter "jazzy" in a bar your going to think of Yags, you ever watch a movie with any type of high school theme for the rest of your lives your going to be right back here, forcing your way down the A wing in–between periods. Never forget where you came from, and never take for granted what you have right now. For the next three months we're invincible! No one can stop you! Get into trouble, go out have fun and be an eighteen year old! Stay a high school student, not a lawyer in training. You can do whatever you want with yourselves in the future, but don't worry about that right now. We've all gotten this far. Go out, have fun with your friends. Stuff yourselves into that basement, or garage or Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Motivational Speech Rhetorical Analysis The speech I am analyzing was given by Jon Bowers, a UPS driving and delivery trainer, in Atlanta Georgia in July 2017. Bowers was giving a motivational speech on why we should aim for perfection and not fear failure. He was giving this speech to an audience of listeners at a TED convention. The audience appears to be composed of a wide variety of age groups from multiple different backgrounds. The audience likely already had interest in the subject matter as they chose to attend speech knowing what it was about. The audience is rather large and likely contains several hundred people. The target audience is unclear as the topic is so broad that it can apply to basically anyone. The speaker is clearly intending to motivate the audience to achieve higher. This is clear as the entirety of the speech is dedicated to him trying to motivate everyone to shoot for perfection and stop fearing failure. The speech opens by asking a rhetorical question, "Have you ever heard of typo–squatting?, he then informs the audience on the subject. He does this because typo–squatting is a practice in which companies buy adds on websites that have very similar web addresses to popular websites in other words they are betting on you not being perfect and making typos when working online. This allows him to transition into the main topics of the speech which are perfection and failure. It is a decently memorable introduction as the question piques your curiosity, and then he secures your attention Get more content on HelpWriting.net

To grab my audience`s attention I could start by stating my own experiences and then back that up with a credible source of fact or testimony. To present need I will use visuals and briefly cover the overview of my policy and why it will effectively change the meat industry and perspective. I will try to establish guilt here and make them feel personally connected for not reaching out to local farmers in the area to support and get to know them. I believe that a good statement to establish guilt would be something like, "You`re attending The Pennsylvania State University and have been blessed with the chance to be a part of the College of Agriculture for gosh sake, why aren`t you trying to get to know those involved in agriculture around your community or attend a local farmer`s market." (Not exact wording but the general point should come across to you.) I can provide satisfaction by proposing that they take action and support and build a more positive image for agriculture among the general public. I will provide visuals of gloom and disgusting pictures of how animals are treated. Then contrast this to the other extreme of very happy and well taken care of animals. For the action step, I will promote donating to the Global Animal Health partnership and at the very least sending them a message to just thank them for their efforts in working to educate the public and provide a safe product to consumers. I will do this by e–mailing them all a link that takes them to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Denzel Washington Make A Difference Speech As Denzel Washington stood before the graduates of Dillard University at their commencement ceremony, he sees an opportunity to encourage them of future success through his "Make a Difference" speech. Having been a student himself, he speaks to them of possible failures and greater prosperities. The speaker wants to be a relatable example, as well as a guide for all the graduates that he is standing before. Throughout this speech, Washington efficiently utilizes diction, tone, and repetition to appeal to the graduates and encourage them to dream. Standing on the stage, Washington provides uplifting words as these students move on to greater things. He does not want them to worry as typically not all students have a job right as they graduate, some may even need a graduate degree. Moving on through the speech, his tone changes to passionate. He instructed to "Fail big... You only live once, so do what you feel passionate about, take chances professionally" (Washington). This is where he instructs to make big mistakes but to only grow from them and dare to do things differently. It may seem completely controversial to advise them of failing, however, through his experience, he realizes that it takes unpredictable failure to lead to success. Near the end, he revives encouragement, especially to be unique as "The only way to do it was to go outside the box," (Washington), meaning that exploring new means of achieving greatness is not wrong. These tone shifts are quite essential as they help build up onto the students' emotions and make the speech more lively and applicable to daily life. Washington supports a dissimilar way of thinking and creating a new world rather than continuing to live carelessly in the old one. He demonstrates this through the implication of repetition. He uses this device in order to emphasize on certain parts which are crucial in justifying his point of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The first thing to do when you are getting started with this process is have a place to store your quotes, you can pick up a collection of quotes or you can choose your favorites from any number of sources including online.
