develops from the joining of two sex cells – a
male sperm cell & a female egg cell.
• Fertilization: When the sperm and egg join.
New organisms will have characteristics from
both parents.
• Asexual Reproduction: when a single
organism produces a new organism identical
to itself.
Ex: A sea anemone sometimes split down the
middle producing two identical organisms.
