1. Airmen Ministry Center (AMC) Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides supports to the KMC Airmen’s Ministry Center(s) and mission statement as
identified by the 86 Airlift Wing Chaplain. Works under the supervision of the Wing
Chaplain or designated alternate. Responsible for developing, programming, and
implementing the Airmen’s Ministry Center Programs, including recruiting and
training volunteer staff, coordinate/create event calendar, and research and plan
budget requirement. Plays an active role in planning, organizing, and overseeing all
events. Responsible for requesting supplies and equipment needed for AMC
operations to include maintenance, operation and disposition of equipment through
the Chapel Budget coordinator using the AMC fund line and the Chapel Tithes and
Offering Fund (CTOF). Manages the AMC facility issues such as fire safety,
environmental control, and Public Health standards as well as keep in close
coordination with base facility managers. Maintains accountability for the facility
equipment and assests. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the building and
AMC assets are properly secured. Develops and train airmen to function as an
advisory committee to assist in developing, guiding and overseeing AMC activities.
Works closely with the AMC Chaplain to ensure the overall success of the AMC to
provide a place of fellowship, relaxation and personal growth for all Airmen. Creates
and recommends promotional programs to promote events. Arrange all
transportation needs for the AMC outings and events through the Chapel Vehicle
Control Officer. Develops and coordinates the inclusion and participation of the AMC
in events with other chapel singles ministries within USAFE and EUCOM. Assist with
determining and implementing techniques and strategiews to enhance the AMC
participation. Performs other related duties as assisgned.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate enthusiasm and the breadth of knowledge necessary to coordinate the
AMC Program. Demonstrate a fluency and working knowledge of Air Force processes
and procedures pertaining to the Chaplain Corps. Possess the ability to
constructively work with volunteer staff, Airmen, NCOs, and commissioned officers;
maintain a healthy, functional, interpersonal relationship with Chapel staff and
customers. Satisfactorily complete and maintain a National Agency Check with
Inquiries is required. Knowledge of the principles and practices for coordination of
events. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong
management and organizational skills. Must be able to work under strict
deadlines. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with
Inquiries (NACI).
Other Information:
Expected to carry out duties in a timely manner IAW applicable instructions and
direction from Wing Chaplain or designee. Must adhere to established work schedule
and communicate clearly with supervisors regarding deviations. Must show
initiative and ability to work independently without supervision. Must maintain
positive customer service skills and be able to work in a religiously diverse
environment. Must work constructively with Chapel and parish staff, command staff,
customers, volunteers, base support agencies, and other ministry coordinators.
Must efficiently organize and manage diverse program elements. Must maintain
professional standards of conduct, grooming, and decorum.. Identifies
events/conference needs and makes the proper arrangements to meet those needs.
Provides proper equipment to support each event. Must demonstrate effective
attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
