In this day and age, I consider the social media to be
the best way to market your product. This includes
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
TV Commercials
Radio Commercials
4. Product
Product includes the following:
Brands
Services
Packaging – different colors, celebrities on product
labels, size options
Make this product fit the customer’s NEEDS!
5. Place
Place includes the following:
Market
Channel
Distribution
Access is very important when selling to your
customer. If the customer can’t see it for themselves,
chances are they won’t buy it. LOCATION,
LOCATION, LOCATION!
6. Price
Market price includes the following:
Discounts
Offer prices
Credit Policy
Shipping – locations and costs of these items
Price can also change due to packing sizes
List Price
Entrance into the market

People may not buy your product if too cheap or too
pricey
Educate the customer on why items are priced the way
they are
The most important thing when it comes to price is to
show the product’s value
8. Promotion
Market promotion includes the following:
Advertising
Publishing
Sales promotion
These all help persuade the audience or the market to
buy your product. Educating your customer is a great
way to make them buy!
9. Shopping Experience
For the customer, you want the shopping experience to
be easy.
Be polite.
Be helpful.
Be patient.
Be APPROACHABLE.
Treat the customer how you want to be treated.
Make the customer want to come back.
10. Retail
I’ve worked in retail from the time I was 12. In my 10
years, I’ve learned people do not like:
Excuses
Having to wait
The “run around”
Pressure to buy or spend
People who are not friendly
11. Retail
While working in retail I’ve learned that people enjoy
the following:
Relationships
Polite salespeople
Honesty
People who are patient
