day“Data will prove to be
vital resource as oil was in the
past”once said by Mukesh

01 Reliance JIO ,is a 4G LTE mobile network operator in
INDIA.(without 2G/3G based service.
02 It is the only 100% VoLTE operator in the country,
coverage across all 22 telecom circles in INDIA.
03 Launched on 27th DEC,2015 on the eve of 83rd
birthday anniversary of late Dhirubhai Ambani.
04 The sevices were first beta-launched to JIo's
partner and employees.
Introduction
In June 2015, Jio tied up with domestic
handset maker INTEX to supply 4G
handset.
LYF SMARTPHONES
On 25 january 2016,the company launched
its LYF smartphone.
Series starting with Water 1 & 2 ,Earth 1,
Flame 1 was launched through its Retail.
In May, Became the fifth largest
smartphone producer in INDIAN market.
In just four month, they sold 1.7 million
LYF branded smartphone in 2016.
Also one of the largest supplier of LTE
phone after samsung..
In May 2016, Jio launched a
bundle of multimedia apps
on google play store.
The app are avialable for
everyone but a user will
require a Jio SIM card to use
them.
Some new apps were
introduced later on like AJIO
which turned TRENDS into a
online shopping platform.

Fight till you can conqure

 Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular
petitioned a plea to TRAI regarding the tariff
rates set by JIO.
 Airtel issued a petition of 25 pages stating a
demand that JIO should not exceed
promotional offer beyond 90 days.
Result: TRAI dismissed the motion and the
promotional offer was allowed to 31st
December 2016, further increased to 31st
March 2017. After which 1GB/per day was
provided.
AGITATION BY RIVAL
 Over 12 crore calls were failing daily
between JIO and other networks due to
inadequate Points of Interconnection (Poi).
 Pols provided (as of Sept. 14): Airtel- 651,
Vodafone-462, Idea-523.
 Pols required are 4000-5000 per operator.
 TRAI asks the telecom to sit for a meeting
together and provide required Pols.
CALL DROP
 Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL)
announced that from January 1st, their customers
will be able to make unlimited calls and get
unhindered access to data at just Rs. 149 a month.
.
 While JIO has a Rs 149 plan includes unlimited
voice calls, 300 MB data and 100 local and
national SMS for a 28-day period.
Now all the companies are trying to compete
with that brand with providing the 4g plans nearly
as the rate of jio plans.

JIO has collaborated with the Mobile and E- commerce companies to
provide free SIM and an extended data packs.
COLLABORATIONS

Jio sponsored Filmfare,Awards ceremony, the Mumbai Film Festival, Pro-Kabaddi
League (Jaipur Pink Panthers) and the Rio-bound Indian Olympics contingent in
2016, among others.
The brand also associated with seven of the eight Indian Premier League (IPL) team.
Annual investment in brand sponsorships at Rs250-300 crore.

 JIO has plans to connect a staggering
90% of the cars in India to internet.
 with this one can access various
subsystem of the car such as fuel
injection, oxygen sensors and many
more.
 This will help in tuning performance as
well as identifying any fault that
vehicle might have.
JIO CAR CONNECT
Plans to spend around $2 billion over 3 years to
capture India’s TV sets.
Ambani’s television units has been aggressively
wrapping up deals with hundreds of small players
and also snap up rival operators like Hathway cable,
siti cable ,etc.
It will offer a bundled package with hundreds of
channels and video on demand in high definition
along with broad band internet, a landline phone
and home surveillance.

driving force behind Digital India , by its 4G
LTE at unbelievable low price would be
launching their 5G services within 5 to 6
months.
Using Jio 5G users will be able to download
and upload data up to 50 to 60 times faster
than on 4G.

  • 20.  Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular petitioned a plea to TRAI regarding the tariff rates set by JIO.  Airtel issued a petition of 25 pages stating a demand that JIO should not exceed promotional offer beyond 90 days. Result: TRAI dismissed the motion and the promotional offer was allowed to 31st December 2016, further increased to 31st March 2017. After which 1GB/per day was provided. AGITATION BY RIVAL
  • 21.  Over 12 crore calls were failing daily between JIO and other networks due to inadequate Points of Interconnection (Poi).  Pols provided (as of Sept. 14): Airtel- 651, Vodafone-462, Idea-523.  Pols required are 4000-5000 per operator.  TRAI asks the telecom to sit for a meeting together and provide required Pols.   • 22.  Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) announced that from January 1st, their customers will be able to make unlimited calls and get unhindered access to data at just Rs. 149 a month. .  While JIO has a Rs 149 plan includes unlimited voice calls, 300 MB data and 100 local and national SMS for a 28-day period. Now all the companies are trying to compete with that brand with providing the 4g plans nearly as the rate of jio plans.
